Give DJ/ Roleplay events their own tab

I don’t care about PF: they have their own tab and I never look at that tab.

I wish there was something similar for the in game chat though. As soon as you step in a city at certain hours your chatbox fills non stop with people advertising venues and posting lengthy messages containing several paragraphs. Oh and gambling laws apply when real money is involved, not a fake in game currency in a fantasy world (you can’t buy gil, at least not the legit way) and there’s even the Gold Saucer.

Square-Enix's TOS does not differentiate in the section mentioning gambling. In any case, some really unlucky people have managed to get banned over it.

People have asked GMs before about this topic. As long as you're not scamming, you can 100% gamble with gil in game.

To put it simply, even gambling with fake currency is considered a crime in many countries. Any illegal activity is against the game's TOS, with gambling being just one of several things they specifically note as examples.

If something bothered me THAT much, I'd just turn off shout. Guess how many venues I see advertised? None.

While I don't like all the spam, much like RMT I feel like it's here to stay since SE kinda has put it onto themselves due to their inactivity with gray area content. The shout chat is a whole other issue but people will defend the door to door salesman energy as "Don't like it? Simply remove the shout function from your character and you won't have to see it.

You know what's also in the other tab? Rare items being sold, CWL advertisment, people asking for advise, shitposters.
