It's time to add more wards to housing

Dynamis has loads of undesirable small houses up, and cycles mediums and larges pretty regularly. (you wont win those though since they usually all get over 10 bids)

We also have a bunch of newly added wards that are closed off because they apparently want the rest of the wards to fill up first.

What a great mindset lmao

10 bids or over = instant loss

that's a way to never get a house that's for sure

A few months ago I won a personal house out of 68 bids, if I had the same mindset as you did, I would have given up in advance

Is it? You act like it's some difficult act to go over to the placard and bid. Regardless of your mindset the odds are the same.

You can't blame people for having such a poor outlook on it either. It's all up to luck. There's no way to earn a house in this game. You spend each week gambling against pretty high odds, and the whole time the playerbase attacks each other despite the scarcity issue being created by the devs.

I never said it's difficult, but I am saying that if you have a mindset that "I'll lose anyway" a lot of people probably wouldnt even bother/try to upgrade because they give up in advance, its a terrible mindset to have, yes its all luck, just like loot, and yet you still hope to get loot if you actually do content dont you ?

You shouldn't COUNT ON IT. Doesn't mean there is no hope. I mean OP can also just wait or bid on Balmung. No need for new houses then.

Tbf the balmung thing is on them, from a housing standpoint I have 0 empathy about someone on the most populated world in the game complaining there's not enough of a limited ressource

I guess this is fine if you don't care about being in a FC with friends. Moving DCs isn't an option for many.
