    The new 24 man alliance raids are a disappointment (mechanic wise)

    Someone on reddit called IzanaghiOkami posted this and I cannor agree more:

    "Where are the alliance mechanics? Did the devs forget that this is a raid for 24 players, there's not even something as simple as an add phase where you have to split them. And that final boss was so insanely underwhelming, "mechanics" (if you can even call them that) that a toddler could solve. I'm not asking it to be hard but I don't like being treated as a baby with keys being jingled infront of me and I'm expected to clap and praise the devs for their ingenuity and fun fight design, Euphrosyne had this problem too, the combat was so undertuned with very little unique mechanics or alliance raid responsibilities and the only thing it had going for it imo is music and aesthetics which this one has aswell. This post going to get downvoted to hell because casual players clearly enjoy these fights, but it feels bad that something I used to look forward to just doesn't apply to me anymore because the devs went overboard on dumbing these fights down, and this is like 30% of 6.5's content"

    So pls dear FF team consider making the content a bit less easy

    Yeah, unfortunately this session have been a bit too much on the easier side.

    Like only time the other tanks had any use was the 3 adds before the last boss, and that was hardly even needed.

    It felt like they forgot to program more mechanics for bosses in this expansion. Maybe that's why I liked Ivalice and Nier raids the best.

    In what world did the community agree???
    YoshiP saying to play ultimate if you want a challenge is probably one of his quotes that had the biggest backlash.

    That's a shame though that the difficulty isn't up to par again. I'll give it a go once I get home but my expectations are lowered.

    Not going to happen, they are out right scared to adjust the difficulty up in anyway. They will continue to cater to a toxic casual portion of the player base which brings the quality of the entire game down.

    Haven't done the newest raid yet, but the two first ones really lack any type of alliance mechanic. Only think it's Nald clones and Halone towers + prisons that need the alliance to coordinate and keep in mind when solving. Plus each of them were very generous when solving.

    Just looking at Orbonne Monastery where on Agrias you have the void + prisons mechanic, plus the add phase where each party has to handle their part. Then on Cid you have a lot of mechanics for your party.

    It just makes the new raids seem very simple when most of the time, it's just personal dodge on mechanics.

    I do recall Yoshi-P mentioned that they put a new team in charge of the alliance raids for this series. While they did have some interesting ideas like the balance mechanic in Aglaia i do agree that they definitely came out a bit too undertuned.

    I'm not asking for the triumphant return of Thunder God, but i feel like the Nier raids struck the perfect balance between difficulty and interesting mechanics.

    Yeah those are two of my favorites as well.

    I still love it when I jump into the Alliance Raid queue and get those. Admittedly Puppet Bunker was not available when I left the game last time so that' one has been a new one for me. Only played through it once so far but it was fun, even if evil at times.
