Which Job, in your opinion, has the biggest identity issue?

Any of these:

1. SCH - Mentioned before, its weapon and several actions are shared with SMN or outright inferior to SGE actions, and the faeries are glamours now.
2. AST - Bloaty, one-dimensional cards, weird level scaling (also mentioned before, its heals in Holminster Switch are a joke compared to SGE for instance)
3. BRD - Remember when the songs sounded cool? Just a bunch of ideas mixed together and a lot of old actions that had their identity scrapped.
4. SMN - Nothing interesting about the job now. Don't see how it was hard to use in ShB either.
5. CNJ - Water magic is supposedly an important part of the lore and its absent now.
6. MCH - Could do with an interesting addition akin to its old ammo, especially with all the balance complaints. The Queen is boring and spends half its duration winding up. The flamethrower sucks and blows.

SCH and BRD were probably bound to have these issues the moment they were tied to ACN and ARC (glad I didn't mix those up).

Actually that's one of them I would NOT list as having an identity problem at this point. The Endwalker changes gave it a very solid identity as an Final Fantasy Summoner that really is on target and fits the bill.
Uninteresting in terms of mechanics and complexity in comparison to how it USED to be... well that may be a fair point. Still at present they did nail the Summoner Identity down very well with the new changes.

Well I should be clear then, I don't see it as inferior either... I think it's just fine.

But being a long time summoner player... I cannot the deny criticism that the complexity of the mechanics have downgraded significantly which honestly did contribute an element of fun and challenge to the old summoner.

its one of the most played classes now, the ones happy with it just dont have a reason to come to the forum and scream about it, they to busy playing the game.

Ironically, this is exactly why so many F2P games remain committed to the lootbox business model.

weird how people like easy classes in greater numbers than harder classes, and yet you try to use this as a reason to look down on them? sorry you lost your raid spot to a class that can out parse you i guess.
