That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.

Big ol disagree on the answer, although it's probably the inevitable (dis)honest response that Yoshida would give tbh.More people doesn't mean it would be any different. Maybe that one person is able to, technically, achieve all the necessary workload in the timeframe provided. Maybe, it is just someone's decision-making that leads to it being this way, rather than a lack of people to work on it.
After all, people say jobs used to work better in Stormblood or Heavensward, or that they work better in PvP, so it is not like they are incapable of doing it differently, they just choose not to.
I think it's far too simplistic and missing some very key points though:
Both player expectations, understanding and the sheer quantity and complexity of jobs have steadily increased between ARR and now, not to mention there's the added layer of mini job works unique to PvP. In the meantime, the job design team hasn't been expanded on in the slightest. Would it be fair to say that the quality has gone down as the workload has increased?
Not to mention, every single expansion has launched with healers having issues that are undebatable oversights. Even Endwalker where little really changed, they forgot to increase Misery's potency to scale with Glare III and had to rush it in later. Forgetting to give SCH viable AoE wasn't a choice, forgetting to give AST a means to click off cards wasn't a choice etcetc. A larger team means more pairs of eyes to catch stupid errors like this. Plus it increases the chances of having a team member that's actually invested in the job or role, something that's clearly on show in how BLM has been handled over the years.

I love that answer because you just can't recreate the same emotions from those raw translations like my new favorite pastime South Korean Dramas (Arthdal Chronicles and Moving are the best). This was answered at the last fan fest, actually. They said they can't do a raw translation and that it has to be translated according to the cultures using that language or it won't make you feel the same emotions, and they said when you do this sort of work you discover that's "the only way to do it". I think some of it is a lack of coordination with the other localizations though, because they mostly just coordinate with the Japanese version and ask questions to the developers to make sure they understand the emotions that need to be conveyed.
But my question to him is "Do you have a successor or an understudy for both of your positions"? That poor guy has been going non-stop since 1.0 and he needs a break or two.

Stop acting like poor Yoshi P is overworked, he's literally just doing his jobThe average retirement age is 64 for a work life of about 42 years
Do you also go outside when the trash collectors come by and tell them that they need a break because they've been doing it for 10-20 years ?
Stop victimizing him all the time, it's always "Poor Yoshi P has to deal with the players and create games" as if he's doing charity work, its so weird
He's doing what he's paid to do.

Yeah, but people do get burned out when they do something for a very long time without breaks and rest and it might cause physical and mental health issues. I would know personally because I was going non-stop for 15 years in the military (most of that time was in war zones) and then 7 years as a civilian without any breaks. Believe me, I was exhausted and it took a big toll on my physical and mental state (that I still have not recovered). Regardless, of whether he is doing his job or not, he does need to take some downtime. Like we all do including you. Take from this guy, who is about to celebrate his birthday next week.FYI

Do you really think he has worked 24 7 every single day since he started working ? Man gets vacation as well and has some time for himself, you're acting as if the man works in a sweatshopYeah, but people do get burned out when they do something for a very long time without breaks and rest and it might cause physical and mental health issues. Ummmm....I was talking about taking breaks and not working in a sweatshop (You are doing it again). But it is what it is and he does need a break or two.
Q: "How is your morning routine as a game director?"
...
......
........ lol I'm joking. I'd ask: "Many armor sets nowadays have vague silhouettes when it comes to matching a specific armor class design. Any plans to loosen up the glamour restrictions for equipment that is not Job Artifact sets?"
