*US also ten characters.NA gets "promotions" but the Grubhub one took a solid month and a half of following up with grubhub support and bothering their support staff for codes until SE created enough codes for people who actually did the promotion.
I wouldn't really consider that to be something to be envious of.
Lots of other people upset.KFC in Japan is under the control of Mitsubishi. They have majority control so in a way, it IS a niche. SE would have negotiated with Mitsubishi.. not KFC in the US. for all we know, they could have proposed the same thing for the US market and it was turned down. As was said, different regions have different rules, laws and marketing. we have zero idea if they did or didnt, all thats going on here is conjecture and "why cant I have a 'eat chicken' emote too??"
as you pointed out, the US gets things that other regions do not. it happens, no need to get your shorts in a knot over it in some form of "outrage"

atleast its more likely to happen since KFC is a massive chain while grubhub is a literal who pretty much everywhere but US (and UK probably)
I am getting tired of eat food emotes but at least this on has a bucket.
I'm not really surprised about KFC being Japan only though. I remember from my time working there years ago that they really REALLY love Japan. We had pictures in the lobby about how many KFCs are in Japan, how many Colonel Sanders are in Japan, among other things. KFC in Japan felt like a bigger deal than it does to the US.
99.99% chance probably a Titanman alt

KFC is "extremely" popular in Asia, at least in Korea, Vietnam, Japan, China. It's a household name almost. In Japan KFC for Chrismas is almost the equivalent of Roast Turkey for Thanksgiving in the US. As for how it became such a big deal ... kinda not hard when you serve great food, clean table, great service. AKA, the exact opposite of the US's experience. Like seriously, Asia KFC share the name and also serve chicken, and that's pretty much where the similarity stop.
I highly recommend anyone wonder why these colab event don't happen here, I highly recommend watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37L679IwC84&t=0s
Yes it's for Genshin Impact, but I couldn't find a good youtube vid for FF, but they also had these kind of Cohab with FF14 (the last one was little a years ago for the Black Choco). But watching this vid and you'll understand why these event are much more elaborated and engaged then you think.

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.

Considering US KFCs in my experience range from "bland" to "guaranteed food poisoning", I may have to try one if I ever get to go to Japan again.KFC is "extremely" popular in Asia, at least in Korea, Vietnam, Japan, China. I'll stick with Popeye's in the meantime.
