Wait she didnt mention wanting another bozja? I feel like that was a very big point in the big video about why endwalker is her least liked expansion.

Feel like the video was more aimed at technical/functional fixes, rather than content fixes. Haven't see her post the "casual" issues that she said she was going to do.

And yea, it's telling that she has to open the video with that kind of disclaimer. But then, look at her other video and the amount of responses to that thread that focused on how she said things, as opposed to the actual ideas.

100% agree. Whenever I see that stuff on youtube, it makes my eyes roll. Like, well of course it's your opinion. You don't need to apologise for it. But that seems to be the world we are in, where you dare not offend anyone and have to remind people ad nauseum that it's just your opinion and everyone else may feel differently.

It actually says a lot that you can't post here unless you're subbed. Great way of creating an echo chamber. Even as the game gets worse and more people get fed up and quit, the only ones posting here will be folks who're either fine with it or are holding out for one last update before they head out, or maybe they're holding on for their house or something. It's why whenever that one dude makes a thread complaining about the game, he gets like a dozen people telling him to go outside, but when I "go play other games" and talk to former xiv players, they all just echo what zepla was talking about in her last video. The concerns are real, and they do cause people to quit, but their feedback will never be heard here because they're all gone already. As a medium for directing player feedback, these forums are honestly a joke. But it's not like the devs post here anyway, so

It never ceases to amaze me, given how many negative posts are made here, how many negative replies are made here, how positive posts are brigaded, and how positive players are attacked relentlessly, that any sane person can believe it's people "hint(ing) at the game not being perfect" that are the ones unwelcome or unfairly attacked.

Note also Zepla had words for the other side, too. That the game isn't perfect, and there's nothing wrong with saying it, but it's also not dying and hopelessly broken, and people saying that are wrong, too. It's imperfect, as everything is, and there are always ways to improve something, even something already good.

The game isn't perfect, she's very much right. There are things worth changing or considering modification to. I think MOST everyone agrees on that. I've yet to see anyone argue that the game is flawless as it is and can't have some changes be made to better it. People disagree on what those changes might be, but everyone can point to at least some things they'd like to see worked on.

while she's not wrong about these issues, she's completely missed the most important ones: jobs being crap and unrewarding to play (especially healers) and lack of repeatable content and midcore content
A game literally cant function without a good gameplay loop and the poor content and poorer jobs are whats causing this game's decline

To be fair, I think a lot of players enjoy the Jobs in the game right now, or at least some of them. Some of them are very low played compared to the others - BLM and MNK seem particular outliers in people just not playing them and presumably not liking them - but most Jobs are pretty well played. In the case of Healers, specifically, I agree there's no alternative there. They all have near identical DPS rotations and a "oGCD for Jesus" healing style...with the exception of WHM, anyway. Which also seems to be the most played. It would be nice for them to make some of them play differently than the others, and we'll see with the AST rework if they go in that direction or not.

But that also doesn't mean the Jobs are "crap and unrewarding to play" so much as there aren't options for people that would enjoy something else. Personally, I think each role should offer a variety of playstyles so that players can find at least one from each role that they enjoy playing. IDEALLY each sub-role, too, but if someone finds WAR or PLD and WHM and SMN to be their style and want to just play those, more power to them. The Jobs themselves aren't bad just because some people don't enjoy them.

Different people like different things, and it's okay that someone doesn't enjoy some of the options. The only issue is if there's NONE for people to enjoy. There are enough Jobs by now, and we're about to get two more, that there should be enough playstyles for everyone to find something they enjoy.

its a pitty you cant play the game without playing any job at the same time. makes me always wonder how much the players actually like the jobs or if they only playing them because there are no better options

Level sync removing actions is a necessary evil.
The community of this game chases the path of least resistance, so getting a sprout with fewer spells is going to mean you go slower in all content. Really wouldn't want to see sprouts kicked so people can do their roulettes faster.
This is the community that would harass sprouts into skipping cutscenes in praetorium or just flat out speedrun it at the detriment of them, because they just wanted to clear asap.

You really believe sprouts have fun using 2 skills and taking 20 minutes to do an ARR normal dungeon.

They don't care about the first boss in Sastasha or the lore about why there is a tiger that suddenly spawns out of nowhere
