Blacklist doesn't even work on duty-matchmaking. That is correct. You can still match with persons you blacklisted.

Blacklist only works on chats anyway so just turn off your chat for the duration of the duty (right click chat then 'hide') or just exit (type U then leave)

It would be nice to not have to turn off all chat or turn off all sound in the case of sound effect macro spam. It seems like using a sledgehammer for a small problem.

I agree. I just sent some possible solution. Maybe one day we will have a better blacklist solution without the use of you-know-what's™/things-that-must-not-be-named™

I've used a mini nuke to kill a radroach once. Overkill? Yes. Fun? Not really but it was something to look at.
