I don't agree. If you are unhappy move on. Spending your time playing a game you don't enjoy is idiocy. So yes the sane person will unsub and it is ok to do so.

I disagree. Players know what they want and vehemently dislike when the game changes away from its perceived identity.
There’s a reason why old school RuneScape and classic wow are both wildly more popular than their retail versions.
So when can we expect the FF14 2.0 servers to come back?
I'm so tired of hearing, from other players as well as YoshiP, to play another game. I love this game, but it's starting to show that the dev team would rather play it safe than add anything new to the game. Even when something new does get added, like Island Sanctuary, its ultimately just another way to grind for cosmetics without adding anything fun to do.
Fixed your quote, as the brush was a bit too broad.
I sympathize, but not knowing what "fun" is to you, I can't really say anything else.
Personally, I have never tied myself completely to a single MMORPG. I played WoW, Rift and GW2 simultaneously. My fun in those games may not be yours, but if I got the urge to do X instead of Y I had options. I continued to play WoW for 3 years after I started playing this game. I dropped WoW during BfA. It was no longer fun for me.
The issue is that at some point it becomes an echo room full of toxicity. Massive corporations like SE have no reason to listen to you until you find some leverage.
This is also why I tell people to encourage the process and encourage them to become as greedy as possible. If you don't have the numbers to quit together and force change then simply guide the game down the path of becoming as unplayable and unenjoyable as possible so that eventually you do.
At some point you've got to realize that you're having the same old discussion over and over again. Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results. If you want change you're going to have to work for it.

When it comes to companies and products as big as XIV, the only feedback that matters is one traceable on a spreadsheet.
This. For many of us who have lived through all of FFXIV's expansions Endwalker just feels completely unrecognizable. I've never seen content be this dead on arrival nor has every job felt this boring to play. It doesn't feel like there's an mmo here at all. Just an rpg that threw away its story at the last minute and now wants people to tolerate 3 years worth of a beach episode expansion that may or may not go anywhere.

Well, that's because they put most of their effort into solo content to chase non-MMO players with things like making sure there are trusts for the entire game, and Island Sanctuary 90% of the playerbase seems to have little to no interest in.This. My friend said he wouldn't play FFXIV because he heart there was forced grouping - I told him there wasn't anymore for the story and he still hasn't bothered with the game. He's just playing single player RPGs that are actually better RPGs than FFXIV. Wondering how many people this attracted vs. pushed away with the lack of interesting content for MMO players.
