Everything after 6.0 has been extremely lackluster.Deriving anything from the color breakdown seems effectively impossible due to the quality of the data - that description of termination just doesn't mesh with the data you see in HW-SB especially - but the overall trends of the totals seem about right.
That said, I'm hesitant to put too heavy a point on it before we see what Dawntrail release looks like. It's clear that the EW post-release content structuring was a mistake, of course, but I can't stop focusing on when did that mistake happen?
I attribute this to the B team essentially keeping the wheels running while Yoshi and the A team were finishing / polishing FFXVI. It is pretty clear that's where their attention was.
But enough of them do to get a decent sample size to attribute a distribution.
It's the basis of statistics. Take a small sample, analyze it, and see if you can find a pattern.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
I should hope my intent is clear. I've never made any attempts to hide my intent. I've discussed it many times here.
Do what is in your personal best interest - play the games you enjoy. Learn to be a smart consumer and stop wasting your money on what you don't like so game studios and publishers will work to make the games that players actually want.
When you give your money to a company that isn't delivering a product you enjoy, you're sending the wrong message.
Endwalker just proved that XIV has suffered from the development of XVI for the worse.
And now we have a mathematics to prove it.
So fun to see the terrible edits that show that graph as if it was in "indefinite progression", when all the data in it clearly points out: Players are leaving.
But a white knight is beyond rationality. Their post are more about faith, arround a figure or group of figures.
Read some Nietzsche.
"The will of my friends has etched into my heart, and now ill transform this infinite darkness into eternal light
Unmatched in heaven and earth, one body and one soul that challenge the gods!"
Hi, WoW refugee still playing.
No, there's nothing wrong with that because the majority of WoW players are much different kind of players. They are used to the bad practices blizz follows to keep the vacuum firmly attached to players' wallets so, when they don't see that, they either realize how bad that was (like me) or simply leave.
I'm pretty sure like 80% of people who use the forums have hidden achievements. Many don't even post on their mains. And some are on the 24th alt due to forum bans.
Because you think having no content a single week after patch day for the next 5 or 6 months and saying "go play other games" is good practice ?Hi, WoW refugee still playing.

I do yes, no game should make you feel like you have to log on. A game is a leisure activity, something you shouldn't have any obligation towards and only log on to because you want to do it.
A.) Hyperbole never leads to anything useful. There are a significant number of "WoW refugees" still playing.
B.) I'm surprised that many stayed. FFXIV's target audience is casual gamers looking for an engaging story. WoW's target audience is the eSports crowd. I wouldn't expect people who played WoW all the way up to the "exodus" to be likely candidates for the FFXIV playerbase. They're two very different games.
Attempting to use hyperbole as a disqualifier when the intention of the argument is completely clear never achieves anythingA.) Hyperbole never leads to anything useful. There are a significant number of "WoW refugees" still playing.
