So seriously the devs and community should just accept the game is more for social then game content (lets face it game content is either boring or goes by to fast) lets just admit it if it wasn't for housing and peoples venus this game would have died way back after stormblood.

This direction might seem like it won't require as much "effort" on the developers' part, but it actually requires a lot more. Effort is not just in hours, but also reputation. They have to make an active change in direction, which requires a tad bit of courage to stop their habits. That's easily the most effort. Then they have to re-make their advertising for this new genre, since right now it's being treated as a numbered Final Fantasy game. Everything they publish for FFXIV involves the story and characters, which isn't what IMVU or Second Life is for.

Square Enix hates making any effort at anything. It's a failing company whose profits are plummeting. Even the tiniest bit of "effort"--which only involves some small executive decisions--is too much for them. If this task was a lifting exercise, the payload would be a grain of rice and Square Enix wouldn't have any arms.

You are correct, and the "social MMO" genre has a huge potential. That's why at least 20,000 people are using Mare at any given moment. But look around you, look at the cash shop and the Lodestone. Do you think this company cares about anything other than making a quick buck off of us?

this is as close as I can seriously get from my attempts I have some others but Im tried with the basic to get more of a emo gothy look for my char like what id wear if this was a real world

There's also Edda's gear from Palace of the Dead on the Mogstation too (I especially like the boots of that set).

And do not overlook the use of Gunmetal Black dye on 'regular' attire - as it gives a black 'wet' leather look to most materials (for instance, if used with the wedding dress... the result is a very gothic gown).

Well, your thread was about Mog Station. The tops I showed are one from Eden and one from NieR, which are obtainable in-game.
Anyway, hope you can make more glams you like.

Examples like this is why I was so adamant about *not* having specific pandered stylised glam in the game. The cool outfits people come up with using their own creativity will always look so much better.
