Nothing good can come from having blown out of proportion ultra high expectations.

Never expect anything and you will be pleasantly surprised when you do experience it.

Not really expecting anything from this game anymore to be honest.
If Dawntrail doesn't give us lasting content i'm just going to move on unceremoniously, to play other games.
I'm not paying a monthly sub to afk in front of the fc house, only to wait for 6 months to get 2 hours worth of content.

That sounds completely reasonable actually. What in particular to you think is ridiculous about that? That says nothing about hype or lowering your expectations, they're saying to realize what kind of expansion it is.

You know the whole plot diagrams that they teach you in elementary school? We just went through that via ARR-EW. The plot is no longer going to ramp with and try to top the previous story level threats we've encountered, at least for a little bit and that's perfectly fine.

I mean really, can you imagine the story ramping up with a new threat that's above even Meteion? And then going beyond that threat later? It would get so old and so stale. It's going to take time for them to build up a new arc, but it'll be worth it.

I mostly don't know what they would do if they immediately started a new story arc with a threat that's somehow more threatening then metieon. And don't know what stakes they would introduce if they keep adding villains that keep going beyond metieon levels of power. It wouldn't make sense to start a new arc then suddenly have another galaxy wide cataclysmic event right off.

Exactly. You could complain about a lot with the current story, but at the moment this isn't an issue. Yet.


It is possible that in the future we play through DT and it ends up being 100% casual beach arc fan service with no build up to a new high stakes arc. If it does happen we can complain then, but it hasn't happened yet.

I think the initial dawntrail story will be a casual story where it takes it easy while also building up to stuff over time with it's post patches and be the start of new plot threads.
