I know I was just mocking her design. She's so over the top, as soon as I saw her I immediately thought of KH.

For me it's the lips. In any other Nomura game they would be hot, in FXIV it looks like she had bad botox.
It speaks a lot about her design that me and many others still fine her visually appealing, but if Nomura FOR ONCE tried to go with the flow and take away the belts, the hammer and reduce the lips to XIV size she wouldn't look so damn uncanny.

There is no real "normal" in a fantasy setting. Especially final fantasy when we have folks like Kefka and Kuja.

They wear cloth based clothing which is pretty normal compared to dresses made up entirely of belts like they got the outfit from a goth store. Kefka and Kuja outfits i feel fit more with a fantasy/medieval setting especially since kefka fits the stereotypical court jester. I feel goth clothing made up entirely of belts to me doesn't fit with fantasy.
