Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

So, to recapitulate, in no particular order:

1. Yoshi P stated they already decided on 2 Hrothgal designs last time it was asked
2. there's a racially ambiguous female voice in the trailer
3. there's mention of a Hroth society in whatsitsname new continent
4. the newest encyclopedia promo displayed Hrothgar culture, even female Hroths
5. said encyclopedia will conveniently release shortly after the EU fanfest
6. and now this datamined voice....

It's more speculations than anything solid, but it gets harder to refute them the more they stack. That said, we should always take it with a grain of salt.

Not going to lie, being left in the dark with any and all info for about 2 years now since the last official update doesn't feel very good. But with all the things that have recently piled up and the convenient timing off it all does point in one direction.
And the Village is called Yak T'el (I can't wait to see it in-game, I am a big fan of environment art and how it portrays the lives of the people living in it through the media of visual storytelling, a thing that the FF14 devs seem to always do very well! ^^).

Don't take anything for granted until an official reveal, but the evidence is piling up.

It is, slowly. But I am happy we can have something to make us start seeing a broader picture. But I have a full bag of salt to sprinkle on every info we find until an official statement and/or a video trailer for them.

They are NOT going to repeat the truly hideous embarrassment of the entire bozja storyline not having even 1 (ONE!) female hrothgar in the story at any point.
Since theyve confirmed The New World areas are largely populated by mamoolja and hroth, not having any in areas in an entire expansion would be so embarrassingly and reek of the dev teams laziness.
And its not like theyre making a brand new female bodytype theyre gonna be slightly-taller-highlander women skeletons bc thats what race they used for bozjas stand in.
This also means hrothgar main characters and THANK CHRIST finally the fantasy mmo with a dozen races will remember it can have characters in the story who arent 5'5 humans or 6' french humans only took 6 expansions.

I love the attitude, but they never said 7.0, they said sometime in the future. Let's not pretend that they were making Female Hrothgar a priority. They only started working on them a little bit before the first LL of EW, with not a word afterwards. Again I would LOVE to be wrong, but without proof, I would rather not get my hopes up. And they do need to get better with the other races being represented. For their scarcity in the lore, Miquo'te and Au'ra seem to be the majority of the population. With Midlanders added for good measures. Where are the rest of the races? I am so glad to see a mix of Mamool Ja, Hrothgar and Roegadin in the New World. I hope they will have a better representation than what Bozja did to them. ADD 1 IMPORTANT FEMALE HROTHGAR IN THE STORY! Bozja was ridiculous.

Bozjans: We are here to protect and save our homeland! What's that? Where are our women? Uh... you wouldn't know them, they fight on a different front!


And the Bozja's queen stand-in was a female Roe, not Highlander. Though I think either would be a nice base for them.

Always drives me insane that any Fantasy Game/Movie takes the effort to make all of these races, but only represent Humans, or Human-looking races.

It's less stress on the budget, probably. Loosely related but that's why I found Honor Among Thieves rather boring....there's like 50 playable races in DnD and your entire cast consists of humans and a tiefling that might as well be a human with horn hairpins /rolls eyes

I really hope they choose a different hair color because at least with G'raha and Zero (and most likely Krile) they add a little variety. If I see another white-haired or an off-white haired main cast member I think I will scream lol

I think its Laziness.
They can put in the effort to design said races and even lore...but they arnt capable of Writing a genuine Character out of them.
I guess I could say "Human Characters" are more easy to market to the masses, and there is this crap about "Seeing yourself in the character / relating to them" but they are seriously missing out on another market by leaving other Non-"human" characters behind.

Speaking of DnD, I saw the Newest Live action movie, and it was both Neat, but Disappointing to see other Races like Dragonborn, Tabaxi and a Aarakocra.
I could get over the Cheaply made costumes (They wernt THAT bad looking) but I hate we couldnt get at least 1 as a member of the Cast, or even one that could play a bigger role, even if just a temp.
