You see - you do not need to cater to the die-hard fans. They'll stay no matter how much you change the game! In Fact, you shouldn't even be surveying the people who still play the game. You need to find out why people left or don't even want to play. The few die-hard fans will be with you to the end, no matter what you do or say!
Well that's half true, on my part. What keeps me tied down to FFXIV is the Art Director. Reason i'm staying is what else is there to play? I'm not into wow, i try out aion got 35 in 2-3weeks and quit. FFXI was my first mmo and i like FFXIV. The reason the others left was because they like WoW play style so when they play FFXIV they don't really see that so they leave.
