It seems weird to release only one cash shop item, let alone one NPC costume set, out of nowhere, not aligning with any kind of event or patch release... (●´ω｀●)ゞ ~?
I haven't bought any of the NPC outfits made out of recycled, none-dyable gear pieces yet and this set isn't going to make me start. (*≧▽≦)ﾉｼ))
And like when they released Gaia's attire without the hair, this makes me worried that they'll release Ysayle's hair on the cash shop at a jacked up price. ( ´△｀)

Its more of to mock how laughably bad the mogstation is.

It's more the fact that 1) They're charging real money for a costume that has nearly identical existing components in game and the most important bit 2) No Hair Yet Again. They've an aversion to long hair yet if they just included that with this set just like Gaia's with her set and Rynes with hers it would be an instant buy for many.

Could be because it's a clipping nightmare. I remember cringing pretty hard at how horribly Gaia's hair was clipping and cutting through her shoulders in every single cutscene when I unlocked Eden. Even the long hair hairstyle we got are pretty awful in that aspect.

I think I picked up Megashiba on sale for ...$16 - 18 USD. It has 3 unique animations/actions, it's account wide, and even then, I can recognize that it's pricey. $12 USD for a single character outfit that is easily replicated with already existing in-game clothes, and you can't dye it?



Also, I think it's okay and good to call out predatory monetization when you see it, as long as people are being civil and not just spamming insults at people that do purchase it.

This exact outfit has been wearable for free since 2019. Nice to see FFXIV still isn't in maintenance mode though!

THIS! I wanted the forking backpack since EW was released and i truly believed that when they dropped the patch artwork where the WoL has a backpack on we would actually get one... but no.
