Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

I guess I don't see where some of the "the game is fine as is, go do old content" or honestly arguments against Zepla's points are coming from then since this seems to be the biggest message she was pushing (to me). The lack of replayability in EW was a design decision by SE and some of us are concerned that it will continue in DT. I am a bit hopeful that SE will see it and fix it, but at the same time I get why people aren't as there isn't a clear "This is what we are doing" message from SE yet.

There are players repeating this expansion's content even though others aren't. I think it is fair to say that the number is fewer are repeating it this expansion.

So the need is to narrow down what the exact differences between this expansion and last are causing a large group of players to be dissatisfied compared to last expansion. But personal arguments get injected to shut that discussion down.

In your case, why do you feel like you have nothing to repeat this expansion?

What content were you repeating last expansion? How does that compare to this expansion? If there was something you were spending a lot of time doing last expansion but not this one, is it because the content rewards are worse this expansion, you feel the content quality is poor, the content didn't return (in the case of Bozja/Restoration) or the content no longer applies to your character situation (maybe there were jobs you hadn't previously unlocked or had at level 70 at the start of Shadowbringers but got them to level 80 by the end)?

Are there some players that just reached the point of burnout after the decade long story finished and that left them less interested in the post-MSQ content? Zepla did say that burnout was part of her problem though not all of it.

Everyone needs to allow others to post their opinions constructively, whether their opinions are negative or positive, without someone trying to shut them down for "being wrong". Unfortunately, there are a few people that have made it their mission to allow only one side to be heard and that has led to the thread spinning its wheels and burying the constructive parts in mud.

My number one complaint has been about the relics since they revealed all the steps (presumably since we haven't seen the last part) will just be tomes. Relics in ShB were what kept me engaged with the game as I found Bozja a fun thing to hop and and just do when I felt like it and slowly work towards finishing a couple of them. That was on top of running roulettes for tomes and whatnot, but the relic provided me a reason to engage with different content in the game. When I got to the dreaded 180 item grind I did the fates and CEs in Bozja and then when I wanted something different I did the SB raids or grinded fates in HW for the earlier upgrade items. Now there is no meaning for me to do things like that other than if someone needs help running some content or if I have friends doing something as I don't have the drive to interact with it like I did in ShB. ShB even got me to go back to Eureka as I missed a lot of that hype train because of a break I took for most of SB which was fun to me. There are a few things that I still want to do there, but at times it feels like I am doing it because I just want something to do as opposed to doing it because I have a specific goal in mind.

I just miss that slow grind I had in ShB that I found fun that I just haven't found with the EW stuff.

I can't say there is No Value in these threads...but they quickly devolve into nonsense and muddy any good reasonable intention and Criticism, and then buries it.
Some threads are also of course made & Necroed just to stir chaos and The LOLS, which is irritating, because I WOULD love to see actual, REAL, and CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism thrown at the game for the devs to see, and consider, and hopefully apply to the game.

But Jesus Christ, these stupid Meme Wars and constant attacks at eachother pretty much kill the conversation and distract from things we NEED the devs to see.

I have no power or pull here and just look like an idiot trying to say on a Forum "Can we freaking Stop the Bullshit, and have nice Constructive Threads and Conversations?" For Christ Sake. Make it easier for the devs to hear us and see what we want, instead of acting like idiots and children

For what it's worth, I agree with you.

The problem is, when there are people trying to have constructive conversation and other folks just incessantly harass and snark at them. The only way to get good conversation is to directly call out those people. Instead, those people get upvoted, so they get their dopamine hit and the positive reinforcement/feedback that snarking off is what gets the likes, so that's what they're going to do more of.

When someone posts long, well thought out posts on a topic offering constructive feedback and gets dogpiled, it doesn't generate an environment where other people feel like engaging constructively since they feel they'll get treated the same way.

I don't think I've seen anyone arguing against adding more reasons to do content added in EW. If there was someone arguing against it, I missed it. Whether SE would actually do it at this point is unlikely though I don't think anyone would complain if they did do something in 6.5 to address it.

That's weird, because many people on the forums will immediately jump to the argument that they don't want to feel pressured to play the game every time someone mentions replayability.

IMO, part of this actually falls on Square Enix proper since the 10th anniversary survey they just released is a missed opportunity for them to get legitimate feedback from players outside of the thread/forum space where people say things for the LOLs. I think if they actually wanted feedback from the non-JP playerbase, they'd give us a survey once every year to two years. It just is what it is though since we never get any confirmation that they actually scour these forums for feedback from overseas.

you will find out quickly there will always be someone on the forums who wants the exact opposite of whatever is added to FF14, when bozja and eureka came out and during the entire expansions the forums was full of this content is bad and will kill the game.

yet here we are but also look we didnt get that content this time and look here once again someone is saying the game is going to die because something was or wasn't added to the game once you get use to the fact someone is going to wrongly cry wolf you will just laugh alittle and go about your day.

Agreed 100%. I put in my constructive feedback anyways just in the hopes that it might actually go through the proper channels but am not really expecting too much overall. They devs are gonna do what they are gonna do unless if they have a formal/efficient way to gather feedback from their players.

At the same time it pretty much rubbed me the same way as the surveys that do ask about things you disliked but only allow you to choose 1 option on the list instead of all that are applicable.
