Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

I think you’ll struggle to find people who genuinely call you a bootlicker for saying “I can acknowledge some problems but think they are overblown and still like the game for XYZ reason”. The big problem seems to be that if you are happy with the game and someone else wants more content because they don’t feel there is enough then it’s literally a win win situation for people who already enjoy the game as as it is, instead said comments are usually hit with “go play other games” as if they actually fixed the issue

The other big one is that quite often the “I love this game I have so much to do” vs the “this game needs more content per patch” is split new vs old players, it gets sorta frustrating being told “there is no problem there is so much content” by a person who started playing last year when you’ve been here for 13 years

I genuinely love this game and I want to keep playing it but I’m not gonna hesitate to point out its deeply flawed at the moment but I’m also gonna not attempt to disparage someone for enjoying the game right now if they have valid reasons, “lol take breaks games fine” is not a valid reason in my mind

I absolutely agree with everything you said in this paragraph. I'm entirely on board with it. The "Go play something else" comments really need to stop. At its root, it's fundamentally a "Go touch grass" statement. It's disrespectful and doesn't address anything whatsoever. I would love to see induvials find ways to be persuasive with why they love the game for what it is right now without being condescending about it.
