Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

Meanwhile, I'm here, having no idea of what people mean with "the direction of the game", or in what sense are the devs not giving attention to the game.

I've been here since release day. We always had weekly tomes to farm, raid equipment, and trials. Now we're getting extra things on top of that, like Variant/Criterion and Island Sanctuary, or Bozja/Eureka in previous expansions. We're getting more content now than we did in the past, and the devs keep giving us different things that they never tried before on top of the things we expect every patch, so I'm genuinely puzzled at all the drama hahaha.

We're getting an irregular tomestone farm during 6.55 to 7.0 downtime and we'll have to suck it up. At least Dragonflight is still good, I'll just clear some Mythic+ with the boys on Discord.

I feel like the MMO genre as a whole is just not in a good spot. it's like all the devs in the industry attended a seminar where they were given the same advice on how to make their game. The problems in 14 can pretty much be a copy pasta of a lot of different MMOS. For example in ESO the forums there are also on fire, we have a lot of threads saying that overland is pointless, they think devs are ignoring veterans and are trying to appeal to new players who don't really like MMOs or multiplayer games. They find that it takes too long to get story content. They think that classes are too homogenised but somehow have unacceptable dps gaps between them, they say that raids (well ESO only gets one raid per expansion) have gone stale and are too predictable. It's wild to be playing two different MMOs and have both of them be unsatisfying in the same way at the same time.

There's very little to indicate they will add additional content or anything of the sort, maybe a Yokai event again, but even that is pushing it - They won't be developing for contingencies, they'll be far too focused on Dawntrail for that. The more time spent on contingency, the less time they spend actually working on the expansion.

Besides, there's a lot more evidence to indicate they won't, than what there is to indicate they would.

They seem to have come during the wow exodus or quit wow around the time asmongold came to ff14 and seems to not know how expansion cycles work for ff14. And there questioning people who been here for longer then 1 full expansion by saying "how do you know we wont get another full patch". I know we won't get a 6.6 because i been here since arr beta and seen how the dev team operates. I dont know why velkallor expects the devs to surprise us with an extra patch when they never done so in the past. Its like they dont believe ff14 has 6 months of downtime between the .5 patch and the next expansion because it's what wow does and we know there one of the people that whines about wow.

Oh, Final Fantasy is an absolute masterpiece, my dear interlocutor! I simply cannot fathom how anyone could find fault with such a flawless creation. From the mesmerizing graphics to the intricate storytelling, every aspect of the game is pure perfection.

The gameplay mechanics? Impeccable. The character development? Unparalleled. The music? Sheer genius. Final Fantasy sets the gold standard for gaming, and anyone who dares to criticize it must surely be operating under some misguided delusion.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's not just the best game ever made; it's the pinnacle of human achievement! The mere thought of someone questioning its brilliance fills me with righteous indignation. How could anyone be so blind to the sheer grandeur of this game?

But alas, some individuals may have their opinions, however misguided they may be. It's our duty as true Final Fantasy aficionados to gently educate them on the error of their ways and show them the light. After all, not everyone can appreciate perfection when it's right in front of them.

Because we apparently don't have proof there wont be a 6.6 even though a lot of us in the forums have been around longer than them and been around since stormblood or even earlier.

The fact that relic weapons are easily obtainable is not really the issue (too much farming is not necessarily suitable), but there are certainly less unpleasant ways than with 1500 tomestones. The exploration and grind content doesn't necessarily need to be directly related to the relic, but one should be able to farm it as one of the possible steps, as long as this content provides diverse rewards for those who enjoy grind PvE exploration content. Bozja attempted to implement this concept, but it was poorly executed because some steps forced players to return to Bozja.

Of course, when I mention degradation, I'm not necessarily nitpicking about this type of content like relic weapons.

I'm generally referring to the changes that Endwalker has brought, such as jobs, difficulty, raids, etc. The patches are much poorer in terms of content and longevity compared to before,
mechanically, it's also too much easier for the casual content.

However, it's essential to emphasize the complete absence of PvE content that provides long-term engagement for players who like to farm during the 4.5 months of waiting time between major patches.

This is all a lot more complicated than just asking "wouldn't you also benefit from that scenario?". What you dislike about how they simplified jobs, someone else might like much more. The important thing is to not get stuck on these white knights. You dont need to convince them, they cant silence you. Post the complaints you have, dont try to engage with people in good faith discussion that you have already written off as lunatics in your head.

Forum gatekeeping as to who can talk about what? The last three years have thrown a lot of things into chaos. That SE may now be able to reset or redo their patch cycle, or change it to meet the necessary time constraints between now and 7.0 is not out of the question.

Bear in mind that we will hear a LOT more at FanFest, as well as following liveletters...I suggest we wait. You may be right, you may be wrong, I may be wrong...so again, I counsel patience.

Everyone who has been around since the release of the game knows how the content cycle works there isn't going to be a patch 6.6. There not going to change it now. We all know there isn't a 6.6 and if they had plans for a 6.6 they would have said so at fanfest or there endwalkers roadmap. There not going to go off there scheduled release to surprise us with an additional patch as it will take away from the developement of dawntrail. Has any of the other expansions have a .6 patch no they didnt and they already planned out endwalkers content roadmap before endwalkers release with no indication of a 6.6.
