Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

An alt? Are you seriously okay? Check my post history you can see it dates back into 1.0 and I don’t have many posts at all. Nice try to just dismiss me like that, I’ve been around in the community for a long time so stop with more of your conspiracy theories. I supported the games ups and downs all through 1.0 I’m allowed to have my own opinion.

I don’t even know peaks or whoever you’re saying I am but seriously you expect people to be nice to you as you hand wave and call me an alt. Here’s a few of the ones I went back and found, there’s too many stupid assumptions of yours to even put in a post. Seriously you have me actually aggravated right now.

Zepla's snark at one point kind of indicates she's lost it a bit (so, of course, the usual suspects super agree with her on it...); when you attack people, you aren't criticizing the game, full stop. She very much seems to be a person in need of a break.

That specific tone and facial expressions - go watch the segment just before 30 mins; that's an angry face, not the face of someone being theatrical for the sake of it - make me think there's deep seated, and misguided, anger there.

Consider:

- Someone (Titanman alt) posted what Zepla said.

- In response to counter arguments being made in good faith, the same someone (Titanman alt) replied with the specific segment of the video (timestamp) of her gaslighting opposition viewpoints.

- The person that was posted in response to even replied saying it didn't address her argument, to which the same someone (Titanman alt) then made more replies in the same vein.

- I replied pointing out that diminishes the reach of her argument and that it's bad to make a general attack of people in that way.

Let's get back on topic here: I agree, Endwalker has been massively disappointing in terms of patch content. Things are good if you are a raider, but if you are casual or even enjoy the more casual content, things have been dull as can be.

Plus they are putting more items then ever on the cash shop which always puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Her opinion is something that I've personally been bouncing back & forth between few select of my friends since 6.1. Nothing really new to me. I do feel glad that she have joined suite in sounding her discontent (IIRC MrHappy and Mizzteq has sounded similar opinion too don't @ me) with overall development of EW.

Yesterday I just had another point added in my convo with a friend: "Less content being added into the game but lol look at those mog items. Sus much?"

Also how baffling it is to see people who truly believe 'leaving/taking a break' from the game will magically solve the on-going issues the game's having. Lmao.

The most frustratingly painful thing is when people start parroting the take a break line less then a week after a patch has dropped and don't see the glaring problem with that.

On the topic of Zepla, this is not the first time she's expressed disappointment in FFXIV's development. Skimming through the thread, I've seen people try to complain that her opinion means just as little as anyone else's (but, often, those remarks are made in such a tone as to make it seem that, in fact, her opinion truly actually means less) unless she were to take these complaints to the developers themselves. However, from what I understand, it's not like she's been given any opportunities to bring it up to them directly since she's started expressing her distaste for the state of the game. I don't believe that she maintains any personal dialogue with the developers in any way, and I doubt she has some magical hotline she can call to give them her opinions that someone like myself couldn't also call. So I feel like it's disingenuous to be dismissive of her opinion, as with any opinion, just because it doesn't have some sort of action taken as a follow up. If anything, her using Twitch as a platform to express these opinions is a sort of action in and of itself anyway, and probably the best way to express them to Squeen as a whole (considering a couple of posts within this thread have made the connection that the development team seems to pick up on complaints issued by streamers almost directly after the streamer complains about them, despite a history of the same or similar complaints on other venues). So, while her opinion is, in and of itself, not worth more than someone else's opinion, it's at least one that's probably more likely to be looked at.

And, to the extent that I feel Endwalker is incredibly boring, and I'm seeing many of my friends quit because they feel there is nothing to do and the game seems to be becoming too simplistic to play (they prefer games where teams of players require all players to perform at their respective jobs in unique ways to be able to excel or complete an objective), I agree with the opinion that Endwalker is probably the worst expansion to date. I'm sure there's stuff happening behind the scenes that's compounded and led to this particular situation, but we're currently in such a situation now regardless, and I'm trying to just enjoy my game and not be the developer's agony aunt.

I been mixing in some ff11 and various single player games as well if i need a break. Unfortunately with how endwalkers patches have been no matter how long the breaks you take are once you come back content gets done so fast that it felt like i didnt even take a break.
