Could implement a opt-out or opt-in option for any player that wants to see the cutscenes before the duty starts.
If people try to back out if its a opt-in party they get a harsh 24 hour penalty, that way people can't abuse that feature.

So, l heard in cn server, this is how they handled msq roulette. 1 person would watch the cutscene so the instance doesn't close due to dc, then 3 other people will alt f4 reboot to skip that and kill the boss. So... If you can find like minded people, it won't be a time waster.

That is possible, restarting the game skips about 50% of the cutscenes because of how long the login process is.So, l heard in cn server, this is how they handled msq roulette. 1 person would watch the cutscene so the instance doesn't close due to dc, then 3 other people will alt f4 reboot to skip that and kill the boss. But stress the "like-minded people" if you intend to do it. Always pre-form your party and make certain that all are in agreement to skip the cutscenes. If someone in the party does not agree to the cutscene skipping and reports it to the GMs, it can result in a temporary account ban for those who did skip them. Vote-kicking the dissenting player can result in the same penalty if reported because it would be seen as an act of retaliation. So, l heard in cn server, this is how they handled msq roulette. 1 person would watch the cutscene so the instance doesn't close due to dc, then 3 other people will alt f4 reboot to skip that and kill the boss. You're better off just not doing Mentor or MSQ roulette if you object to unskippable cutscenes. The larger currency rewards from MSQ roulette are in consideration of the additional time required to watch the cutscenes. You can always choose to do other content and get approximately the same reward for the same time investment.

I will happily run DR:Mentor where I'm actually useful twenty times in one day despite finishing the mount achievement five or six years ago, simply because it's a "surprise me with (almost) anything" roulette.
Still not going to sit and do literally nothing for the majority of a half hour Praetorium run. Mentors are not needed to fill DR:MSQ duties because there is a super limited roulette that is just for those three duties and which compensates people for their time. DR:MSQ duties don't belong in DR:Mentor.

Either remove MSQ roulette duties from Mentor Roulette, remove MSQ roulette duties entirely and make them actually MSQ-tied like they did with the Final Steps of Faith, or remove MSQ Roulette (And the constant mogstone bonuses for its three duties) and make it so that it isn't in any roulette other than Mentor.
I would preferably take option 3. That way Mentors are still able to help and people are able to do it premade, but only people that actually need it, or want to do it for the duty itself, will be doing it.

You keep yelling at people about mentor roulette, when they're just replying to the OP. The OP talks about every instance of Praetorium, not mentor roulette specifically.
Option 3 would significantly increase the queue time for players trying to run those dungeons for the story. The amount of people queueing up for Mentor Roulette is likely to be much lower than the amount queueing for their daily MSQ roulette.Either remove MSQ roulette duties from Mentor Roulette, remove MSQ roulette duties entirely and make them actually MSQ-tied like they did with the Final Steps of Faith, or remove MSQ Roulette (And the constant mogstone bonuses for its three duties) and make it so that it isn't in any roulette other than Mentor.

Option 1 would be far better, as it appeases the mentors, while keeping the MSQ roulette rewards intact for players who don't mind sitting through Prae for a big amount of tomestones/exp.
honestly i just wish they'd incentivise people to use duty support more.Option 3 would significantly increase the queue time for players trying to run those dungeons for the story. e.g. make it so that mogstones can drop from doing that, and making it apply to tank mount achievements (like it did on the very first patch that DS existed for)
because right now the only benefits are having allies that won't get hit by aoes ever, and two extremely niche 10 AP achievements that take roughly a week of grinding to get - for the tradeoff of that the duty's slower than 90% of the playerbase.
