Legitimate reasons why many of you do NOT like Gear Swapping

So what your gonna cry cause someone did 20 more damage then you? And that's your argument? Bring something more legitimate to the table besides: "OMG I might get offended by a person who thinks they are better then me! D: "

Bring something better to the table than "SE has changed direction when the project lead has switched has so anything is possible".

SE (no, not SE, Yoshi, the current lead and demi-god governing FFXIV's development) has said he has absolutely no intention of adding gear swapping as a battle mechanic but you keep bringing it up, insisting it's relevant because you want it.
