Dear Warrior of Light,
You are correct. I think a comparison to Monk who has a kit more bloated than when you google search, by accident, the word inflation with the safe search off, is indeed very fair.
Surely, if a Monk's stars align; they have the passive, combo and LB up, surely if they can do that then so can every other job right?
A giant kill me glow? Where? In a fan fiction? As it stands now, if a Black Mage LBs you have some thinking logic of to do;
Do you go for the BLM or do you try to kill more enemy team members before the Black Mage can wipe your whole team?
If you can get close to the BLM it will sleep me, if you sit through this CC, your whole team is dead, but if you cleanse out of this CC then the BLM will be able to use his Ice Attacks and slow me you down and kite you even further.
What if the BLM is at 100% HP? Which it most likely is at, now with the damage reduction not even a Monk can insta-gib it.
After all, when a BLM ults, you should be able to enjoy myself, right? Why should you not be tankier than a tank, have more ranger than an American Sniper and more damage than military explosives? Weakness? Is that like a Job Passive or something?
I know, you're most likely a very high skilled player and you do not have to worry about such woes. Square Enix can make no mistakes with their systems.
It's kind of like my thoughts on Elezen. Do I love Elezen or do I hate them? I don't know. Usually when I look at Elves in high fantasy I think to myself, whoa! Not, hold up. What is that?
When my king Haurchefant Greystone died I thought to myself: phew, thank the mighty crystal mother he's dead. He doesn't have to be an Elezen anymore. Finally I can know rest and closer as can he.
But Square just keeps bringing him back, like they do with BLM. Please, man, just let it die already.
Anyway. I know what you're thinking: "Hold up, BLM, have Ice Spells?"
