Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless
I mean, as soon as blm ults he just gets monked or machinisted or blota'd or something in cc, it's just a giant kill me glow you have around you and there's next to nothing to do about it.
Of all the things to complain about, blm getting a little bit of dr on their lb ain't one of them, they still aren't anywhere close to whm, mch, drg levels at all.
How would one ironically buff BLM?
I guess an ironical buff would be to buff something that doesn't matter. If there was a skill that was useless but technically would be better yet still useless. Another example would be to buff the potency of a skill without it translating to any change. Like making something do almost 1 point of damage more or just 1 or so little...

You are correct. I think a comparison to Monk who has a kit more bloated than when you google search, by accident, the word inflation with the safe search off, is indeed very fair.
Surely, if a Monk's stars align; they have the passive, combo and LB up, surely if they can do that then so can every other job right?
A giant kill me glow? Where? In a fan fiction? As it stands now, if a Black Mage LBs you have some thinking logic of to do;
Do you go for the BLM or do you try to kill more enemy team members before the Black Mage can wipe your whole team?
If you can get close to the BLM it will sleep me, if you sit through this CC, your whole team is dead, but if you cleanse out of this CC then the BLM will be able to use his Ice Attacks and slow me you down and kite you even further.
What if the BLM is at 100% HP? Which it most likely is at, now with the damage reduction not even a Monk can insta-gib it.
After all, when a BLM ults, you should be able to enjoy myself, right? Why should you not be tankier than a tank, have more ranger than an American Sniper and more damage than military explosives? Weakness? Is that like a Job Passive or something?
I know, you're most likely a very high skilled player and you do not have to worry about such woes. Square Enix can make no mistakes with their systems.
It's kind of like my thoughts on Elezen. Do I love Elezen or do I hate them? I don't know. Usually when I look at Elves in high fantasy I think to myself, whoa! Not, hold up. What is that?
When my king Haurchefant Greystone died I thought to myself: phew, thank the mighty crystal mother he's dead. He doesn't have to be an Elezen anymore. Finally I can know rest and closer as can he.
But Square just keeps bringing him back, like they do with BLM. Please, man, just let it die already.
Anyway. I know what you're thinking: "Hold up, BLM, have Ice Spells?"
Which tank does BLM outtank with their 10% dr and lowest base hp in the game?
Go ahead, show me which (and no, non tank junction gnb doesn't count) tank is squishier than a blm who has the lowest base hp along sage with 48k.
This all just reeks of either not being able to get free kills vs blm anymore or dying to one a couple times, finding something to be salty about and then complaining on the forum about it.
As a MNK player, idk what you mean by it being bloated since all that it has a lot of is combo abilities, which all of them are identical outside of snapshotting with certain combos. However MNK has incredibly good burst off of a regular CDs that are incredibly effective against any low health job, Like BLM, with LB as an extra bonus if you have that.Dear Warrior of Light,

To focus more on BLM, which I am lesser experienced with but I do understand it enough from how I've seen other players on the job. A lot of there defensive aspects of there kit are very counter productive when it comes to defending themselves. Nightwing's CC requires you to wait 3 seconds for the CC to go off, and after that the sleep effect can be interrupted by any form of damage from you or teammates. Burst has a beefy shield, but using it specifically to put the shield on yourself can see you missing out on a large amount of damage. Also having to either to stand and cast the spell leaves you very open, or having to use AM to get a swiftcast has drawbacks in of itself as well. And any of the Ice debuffs is not great for personal defense with how much set up you need in order to put debuffs up on one singular target. This is especially the case with their LB, as you are using it ideally to get as much damage out as you can on the enemy with the fire DoT than the freeze effect.
Not to say any of these abilities are bad, but none of them are meant to be amazingly effective forms of defensive tools since its balanced that way. To me general BLM gameplay is about being the wizard in the back casting spells, and they are just generally built for that scenario. Using there LB and having your entire playstyle be encouraged to play more aggressively feels awkward when you don't have extra options to support your survivability. The 10% dr for the rough duration of your 7 spells you get under the effect are fine, and helps a lot to make the LB not feel horrible to use when your using it properly.
