My suggestion is to have under lvl 50 quests give tomes for those who haven’t beat ARR yet.

these types of grinds are just silly, they should make it so doing any roulette gives a flat bonus of 15 moogle tomes allowing you to farm whichever roulette you prefer same with how the current relic weapons

Expanding on this idea, maybe they could add a Moogle roulette with all the instances that give tomestones, with a set amount given when you queue up. They'd probably keep it a once a day thing, but it would still be a nice, guaranteed daily boost.

The list is so much larger than normal?! It's not just endless runs of Orbonne Monastery...well it still will be but that's just personal preference, I like to get these as fast as possible... So I tend to run the ones that drop 10-14 tomes.

The only thing I would really like is if they added some open world or crafter/gatherer options. So maybe fates give 1 tomestone. Or a moogle that accepts collectibles and gives an appropriate amount, could use the ishgard restoration area. Or if they are feeling energetic they could have a moogle themed instance where we gather and get stuff and have a moogle crafting tab.

Alliance roulette is effectively that right now, but with weighted prizes making it worthwhile for you to be eligible for the highest raids.
An all-in "moogle roulette" would have to either lock out low-level players or risk turning into Crystal Tower roulette again.
That would actually be pretty cool. Would make a change, giving an option to DoH/L.The only thing I would really like is if they added some open world or crafter/gatherer options. 100% agree. It's nice to have an event that is ongoing, where you don't just do one quest and that's it. You're encouraged to keep participating and keep playing. Too many of the holiday events are just "Do the quest, then that's it. Congrats, you finished the holiday." There's literally nothing else going on. Even the ones that include a FATE or a special instanced content, there's usually no reason to do it more than once or twice. Not to mention it's like... the only event that asks you to even play the game. Every other event is over in 10 minutes and generally just asks you to watch some cutscenes. I like that these events give people a reason to do things together again, and I wish we'd get them more often. There's also so much time to complete them that you could probably do 1 orbonne a day and have all the things you want by the time it's over.
That being said, I don't dislike OP's idea either. I think we should get it in addition to the moogle events. Like, there's so much downtime where nothing happens in this game and it's gross imo that the only noteworthy thing we have to tide us over is this.
How about something like the Fete events in the Firmament? Have a few non-combat fetes that happen at set times in the cities, where players congregate and play together? That's what a holiday or a festival should be like, not a solo questline with cutscenes where you ignore everyone else.
I also like the idea of a Wondrous Tails revamp. The general concept is good, but I'm not thrilled with the RNG aspect of it -- especially locking things behind the "Gold" ticket which is virtually impossible to get. Silver is certainly doable, I have some of those. But the thing is, I don't even like the prizes very much either. A few of them are actually good, depending on your taste, but then you have some not-so-great armor sets, some minions that you can easily just buy off the market board, and clusters to trade for materia..?
^ This. Do your research, and find out where these rewards actually come from, and if you think you can get them the normal way. A few of them I think you can even just buy from the market board.
I do Alliance Raid roulette pretty much every day for fun anyway. By the end of this event, I'll probably have an insane amount of moogle tomestones from that alone. Even if I am cursed and get Crystal Tower in my roulette every single day for the entire month of September, I'm still coming out with 180 tomestones without any extra effort or grinding.
Brilliant! Where are the moogle tomes for crafters and gatherers? It might get more players to look into these jobs more and try something they normally wouldn't.The only thing I would really like is if they added some open world or crafter/gatherer options. Heck, now that I think on it, even if we can stick to battle content, what about a more personalized version of the "Role in Need" system for duties... sort of like a "Role You Haven't Played in a While," where you get a prize for playing a job or role you've not done much lately?

Prettymuch this, yeah. And doing levelling roulette with a high-level character will have a chance of dropping you in Endwalker dungeons (8 tomes each) and raid roulette can put you in Pandæmonium. There are lots of ways that people will end up earning a stack of tomes passively over the month or so that the event is running, so it's better to do a few weeks of those activities first and then assess how many more you need.I do Alliance Raid roulette pretty much every day for fun anyway.
