Grinding out the whole prize list in the first few hours of the event is purely a player psychology thing. There is absolutely nothing that is forcing anyone to do it at a rush or organise dedicated parties to run "the most efficient duty" into the ground.

Play as normal, do the roulettes that get you into relevant content, or queue for duties that drop other things you need. Grind for tomes at the end of the period if you still need them.
