Dramatic times in FFXIV

imma be honest if you go anywhere that a large group of people go for discussion 3 examples would be reddit/these forums or say large FF discords you are not going to find any good debates/discussions.

people mostly post things to cause discourse you may here and there find a good fellow who truely wants to talk and debate but most the time these places are just salt farms.

Reddit is absolutely not any better for sure. The discussion subreddit actually mirrors the state of these forums. We have one main troll that seems to know the community hates them and posts purely to stir things up, while everyone witch hunts for alts, and the entire subreddit dies when they're not there(or people accuse newer posters of being alts while down voting their stuff into oblivion). It's actually worse there because there is active moderation there, it just chooses to ignore the problems because they enjoy the activity it brings.

There's just no where else to go though. Most discord servers suck because they're full of cliques who most of the time aren't even actively playing the game. Majority of servers don't want you, they want a bigger server list and maybe some activity.

The Forums aren't dead, they just aren't full of Drama now atm and Nonsense Bait threads designed to rile people up ....which is clearly what you are missing.
If you want a real, and engaging Conversation, then start one.

There was either a Ban Wave, or people got suspended.
A Certain handful of Notorious People here no longer have medals on their accounts, which I think we learned means they are gone.

Been scrolling a bit and only really counted 6 or so people so far. It seems kind of light. 2 out of the 6 don't compare to some of the worse offenders I've seen on these forums that seem to be left alone still.
