hey are going to make Cross world parties in public world content, so idk what that can inhale but it just means more instancesI fail to see how running through lower level instances for some quick exp is a bad thing. Running dungeons with dungeon finder to level up your character in WoW was fun and gave you something else to do then just solo grind on quests. This only gives people another way to level up which FFXIV needs.
For example my monk was in the 40s the other day, we spent 3 hours looking for a healer, the rest of the party sat in town, while I did guild leves to pass the time some exp better then none. If we had dungeon finder we would of been leveling much sooner.

I think he is referring to the ability to cross realm non instanced content, I dont see how that would be possible at all. I expect a follow up response of "due to resource limitations it will not be possible to cross realm non-instanced content"I fail to see how running through lower level instances for some quick exp is a bad thing. Or they will make it instanced

Which means you can only run though lower level instances as a way to level up. Not in open game world.Originally Posted by Camate
I'd just like to clarify one thing...
It will not be possible to use the content finder to form open-world experience point parties and such, pulling people from other worlds. It will be possible to indicate the objective "Leveling" but it will take place only in certain areas such as instanced raids.
They're going to make everything instanced probably. Like guild wars 1.
Rokien just LOVES to take the ideas that are ACTUALLY good, and say " This sucks SE DIS WILL DAMAGE THE COMMUNITY!" When it won't do no such thing.Don't do this se ; ;
"We are structuring/looking into parts of the public world content where you can also cross worlds to setup parties aside from instances such as raid dungeons. Also the contents finder can setup parties depending on goals so it's also being planned where you can go to those contents to level up as the goal."
Thanks again reinheart
Where's that Simulator Version 1.0 for Rokien Again? :/

WAIT! Wait..hold on guys I just had an epiphany! A moment of clarity so eye-opening that I must share it with you all.
Try to follow me here, I know it's incredibly complex. What if, when we see a completely optional feature that we don't like, we DON'T use it? I mean I know it's really crazy but it's just crazy enough to work. If it's 100% optional, doesn't detract from my own experience and we are never forced to use it then maybe, just maybe we can ignore it. It's going to be really tough seeing people enjoying a feature I don't like but I think for the greater good of the game I can simply not use it and quit bitching.

how dare you good sir!
It's not optional when the game is designed around everything being instanced. The game will be DESIGNED AROUND THIS. They will make every little thing instanced that they can, and so it stands to reason that if you wanted to, you couldn't ignore that.WAIT! Wait..hold on guys I just had an epiphany! Exactly. These concerns arn't groundless.
This sort of feature really can be damaging.
I don't know the full details on how SE plans to implement this, but disregarding the possible dangers and ignoring how other games have severly changed from such features is not the wisest route. We need to think critically about this.
