But they can still have grinds. This game is filled with grinds already for those interested. Just about every content type has some sort of grind spelled out in the Achievements list.

As someone who is demanding grinds, have you completed every single one of those? Or are you picking and choosing what grinds you'll do?

If you're not doing them all, then maybe you shouldn't be playing a MMORPG.

I don't agree with Atelier. Enough players enjoy the exploration zones that it would be good to see another one added for those players.

I also don't agree with you. Someone shouldn't have to enjoy grinds to play a MMORPG. WoW proved that almost 2 decades ago.

If you genuinely want a game that only has that old school MMORPG grind then OSRS is calling you. https://oldschool.runescape.com/
I respect your opinion, but I'm not saying we shouldnt have exploration zones. Im saying for exploration zones to have more forms of content for progression rather than having just one or two chores or activities for the sake of a grind. A good MMO will have progression where players can tackle it however they want, rather than it being mindless. Im talking about the extreme case where its obviously padded out to keep you retention here. Older MMOs had the advantage where it presented you with a living breathing world full of activity. However I dont see this being the case for Eureka and Bozja, its literally just set dressed FATE zones. And this was a common complaint from what Ive researched back in the days of SB and Shb in the forums. People just didnt generally enjoy it. It why the devs started to back down on those grinds every patch until come this expansion they decided to not do one and focus on newer content.

Heck you even have your achievements hidden on FFXIV collect and while you do have an impressive all 90 crafter/gatherer jobs, you barely have any minions or mounts on your lodestone page.

If you're going to talk down to another player about their own achievements, I suggest you actually look at yourself and quit hiding behind this obvious alt and start posting here on your main avatar.
I've been called Skiros before. It's literally not hard to look it up.

I definitely feel that Variant dungeons are a missed opportunity, with the rewards being minimal, even more so if you do not want the glamour set. There is a point though to noting that these are fairly new still and comparing them to content that has been out for years now is unfair. People are still doing Eureka and Bozja now and people will probably be getting their clears of Sil'dih and Rokkon later on as well. I feel they could have either created more paths for Sil'dih instead of created an entire new dungeon or added more to the rewards for Sil'dih. They may still add something to the rewards for these later but given their history of leaving things as they are at release I doubt we will get anything more in the shops and that means there is no point to run for currency if the shop has nothing you want or need.

I just cleared the Criterion with three of my friends last week and we're working on clearing it a few more times to get everyone the mount. It's probably some of the most fun I've had because it was challenging, but didn't require so many players that I had to wait in party finder forever just to queue up with strangers. It took us about as long as it normally takes me to clear 1.5 savage tier fights but without all of the tedious pf stuff. I like the mount, orchestrion, and framing kit, but I agree that when we're finished, there won't be much incentive to go back or try the savage version.

Even so, the last few weeks have been really fun working on it with my friends
