No it's because exploratory zone content was just boring. You can bring it back, but if it's the same padded out grindy garbage that it was instead of giving more varied activities for progression then it can continue to lay at the drawing board because the design needs much more needed improvements before returning back later in this games life cycle.

Such strong talk from somebody who literally just joined a month ago. Most likely hiding behind an alt.

Heck you even have your achievements hidden on FFXIV collect and while you do have an impressive all 90 crafter/gatherer jobs, you barely have any minions or mounts on your lodestone page.

If you're going to talk down to another player about their own achievements, I suggest you actually look at yourself and quit hiding behind this obvious alt and start posting here on your main avatar.

Funny, if you look at the MMO space say World of Warcraft, Lost Ark, Overwatch 2, Diablo 4 (I know these two are MMOs but its an online service game with seasons) so many people are quitting and leaving those games because they're getting sick and tired of stupid grindy systems only there to keep your retention rather than fun. Overwatch 2 is truly one of the MMORPGs of all time. It's not even comparable, you don't grind there, at max you do weekly/daily challenges and rest you get just for playing or buying levels, it's completely irrelevant in this discussion. In OW2, you're encouraged to do dailies to get most of XP bonuses, then you just get regular XP for matches, so this example of yours is exact opposite of what you claim.

Oh? Then why are people hating the whole season pass method of acquiring characters and loot behind terrible grind systems. Grinds that people here want to bring back in FFXIV just for the sake of it?

You do realize the term "grind" is a negative word right? It means "hard, dull daily work" in most dictionaries. If this is supposed to be sold as something thats good and or fun for the game, its doing a poor job at trying to be appealing.
