    Been putting off my response for weeks 'cause I was unsure if I can keep myself in reign, but here goes:

    "(love, like, neutral, dislike, hate)"
    Definitely hate. Most of the time, I play it to meme or to look nice in my glam plates specifically made for SGEs.

    "What do you like about it?"
    • IcaRescue. No no, not that trolling shenanigan. Literally, forces a swap with a player that realizes too late that they're in wrong position for upcoming mech.
    • Haima & Panhaima.
    • AF Gear. Finally a healer that doesn't cover their legs with skirts/robes? lol
    • Pneuma, I guess. It's a different GCD that I'm still willing to use from time to time.
    • Eukrasia. This sets up a good potential to cull future button bloats.

    "What do you dislike about it?"
    A new, entire design space being wasted for a copy of an existing job for their odd obsession with regen/shield dichotomy.
    • Addersgall? More like Addersflow minus Energy Drain.
    • ALSO Pneuma, unsurprisingly. Categorized as a barrier healer, so wth is this button doing in SGE's kit?
    • ALSO Eukrasia. Why stop at E.Dosis, E.Prog, and E.Diag? Where is the interaction with other buttons?
    • Dyskrasia. Why does it has to be another copy of SCH's pointblank circle AoE? Why can't their AoE filler be a 8-12y frontal conal?
    • Overall aesthetic. I'm generally not a fan of anything that looks mecha/gundam'ish.
    • Where is this "able to augment their own capabilities (paraphrase)"-element of SGE that they first introduced to us back in 5.4 teaser? Were they referring to Eukrasia? Because holy h3ll I'm looking at the button in disdain if this is all they can come up with.
    • Has to toss pointless healing just to keep their MP healthy, especially at the times when healing aren't much required because your party is averagely decent.

    "What would you like changed about it?"
    Honestly? I don't know. I hate how the job even came to be from first place. But for starter, probably more interaction with Eukrasia & Kardion system. Delete Addersgall and move all, if not, most of the missing potencies into the hypothetically expanded Eukrasia & Kardion system.

    At this point maybe just remove astro and sage and keep whm/sch in game then since this endless drama of regen/shield is endless or just give all 4 healers strong hots/migi/shields with their only difference being their weapons and combat style animations. This is the first mmo I ever played with such drama about healer class. Ast had this exact same problem of the wanna be whm/sch and now that noct stance is gone, this bully the new person in school is passed on to sage. Only change I can think will work on both ast and sage to maybe drop this pure/shield thing is make them more of heavy dot type healers that does big burst heals, no hots/migi/shields. Please remember as much as I still love ast and stuff there is not much different of ast of whm either.

    Its one of the only MMOs you have with regen/shield drama because other MMOs don't stick to a stupid "we must have X design" garbage. Everyone wants to hate on WoW simply because of company practices but has anyone actually LOOKED at their job/class design in comparison to FFXIV? Or even RIFT?

    Classes within their roles (tank/support/healer/dps) DO NOT SHARE THE SAME PLAYSTYLES. This is what's wrong with AST and SGE. WHM and SCH are already defined playstyles, WHY does anyone think that making a secondary with little changes is a good idea?

    AST being a stance dancer betwixt shield and regen/burst IS FINE. The problem was that to switch between the two you had to be out of combat. Make it so that you could switch in combat and tie more of its abilities to the stance switching and AST would be a more unique healer ON TOP of its card buffing mechanic.

    SGE could have been a revamp DiscPriest where it heals by doing damage. Something that's completely different to anything we've had in the game.

    Or as I've mentioned COUNTLESS TIMES BEFORE NOW if you must keep the stupid Pure/Shield split further break it up by having:

    WHM (pure) - burst healer, little to no regens
    AST (pure) - regen/hot healer, little to no burst, planned compile healing (macro/earthly star)

    SCH (shield) - pet healer: all "pure/true" healing skills come from fairy, shields only little to no mitigation (shields DO NOT heal at all)
    SGE (shield) - heals by doing damage through Kardia and debuffs on enemies, Haima and Panhaima are what its shields are more like - you take a hit, you get healed, has limited shielding in comparison to SCH, breaking of shields gives Addersting for SGE to produce more damage

    There, the problems with the healing role being samey is somewhat fixed. We don't need the "solution" of removing AST and SGE. We need the solution of the dev team to 1. giving a damn about roles outside of DPS and 2. stop being lazy by copy pasting and actually be creative for once.

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    I love these ideas, totally agree with you on this, that was my thoughts too but didnt come out clearly, not really saying delete ast/sge, its more a rant myself on I want something different haha.

    When I started leveling sage, I thought it would be completely different kind of job. I'd have liked if the job relyed more on shields when damage dealing is not possible. Also more broad dps kit woud be needed. Sage IS fine copy job to play but lacks identity for me. Also the job needs more lore.
