Going back to 2014, this event has ALWAYS been short and low effort. Every year it was always just a quest or two, and one year we had a fate. Then the jump puzzle started. Don't expect Moonfire to be extensive, it never was.????????????????????????????????

the jump puzzle isn't from last year??? you okay? lmao
and reusing the same jump puzzle over and over again is high effort now? ?_?
That's how I am. I love my group of characters and it's fun to mess around on for a bit, but ultimately it always just feels repetitive in a less interesting way.
That said I love their summer outfits - very detailed and a nice variety.
Moonfire was always never good. Normally I'm the pessimistic one who's always ripping on square but it's always been kinda shrug emoji.
Maybe it should be ? Let's go even further, maybe all seasonal events should bring more than just a few line of text so boring they could have been generated by AI ? For instance, they already have developed a music rhythm game for the Christmas event, why didn't they use that to do a concert on the beach as part of the event ? Like you could play the guitar on Titan track (the primal version) with a band of NPC you picked.
"it has always been lame so that's ok if it still is" This way of thinking is more often than not coming from people that play a game for so many years they can't imagine and even actively fight against any change that would improve everyone's experience including their.
Events don't have to be synonym of low effort and boring.
So you think that because they insult people that its ok for you to come into threads angry and insult people you disagree with. If the things you disagree with makes you so angry to the point of insulting others maybe its time to take a break from the forums. I think them insulting others also makes them horrible but so far i haven't been insulted by them as i have from you when i never done anything to you to warrant being insulted in previous threads. All i did was mention wanting grinds and mention features ff14 could bring from ff11 only to be attacked and treated as a troll by you.I disagree with Atelier's takes on Eureka/Bozja (I happen to love them), but she's right on this one.
I always find it odd when people attack anyone BUT Storm/Aesome/Kiros-Titan-altarmy, then say "I'm not defending them doing it either"; yes, but you aren't CALLING THEM OUT FOR IT, either. When you call out only one side of a discussion, you are, whether you intend or not, putting your thumb on the scale and implicitly supporting the other side. If you meant that it's bad when people do it, you need to call out EVERYONE doing it, otherwise you're offering aid to one side at the expense of the other. I'd be like if there were two opposing politicians that committed the same crime, but one is prosecuted and the other isn't even indicted. That influences their election because it gives one side a talking point ("My opponent is such a bad lawbreaker!") that can be used to influence neutral people making up their minds between the two.
If you're going to call out people for doing a thing, don't stop short only calling out one side, much less so directly and personally.
EDIT:
This event was so fun! The quest was pretty short but the cameos were nice, and the armor looks amazing. Can do all kinds of themed glamours with it. Been wanting something like the armor from the revolution planet (the one in one of the first level 90 dungeons that also have the Citizens and Freedom Fighter guys take part in the Lopporit Tribal quests), and this is kind of like that. Could see a dark gray dye of this working fantastic with some SGE and MCH glams to make a really cool look.
Love this reward so much more than the stupid bathing suits we have like 20 of at this point that are mostly all the same. I don't mind new swimwear from time, but most of what we've gotten is all the same other than the board shorts, and most of the random robes and stuff I'm never going to wear. At least this suit I could see some fun glams for.
And the jumping puzzle is back and pretty fun and challenging. Give me some Kugane PTSD, but was still a blast.
This is probably one of the best Moonfire Faires we've ever had. Love it!

I thought the event and reward were nice but it did felt very short, even shorter then past Moonfires. (*´Д`)
I think it would have been nice if there were some more situations with NPCs you could help Lyonell with after the event questline.
Moonfire Faire of the past use to have FATEs you could do to get vouchers to trade in for prizes, which could of been nice too.
I really think the devs shot themselves in the foot for potential seasonal event prizes and the potential to add more incentives to do seasonal events when they decided to relegate past seasonal event items to the cash shop (especially the furniture items, considering not everyone has a house). ( ಠωಠ)
I have to wonder what kind of themed glamours you're going to do with it when the whole thing is a one piece outfit. The full set just in different colors? This event was so fun! The quest was pretty short but the cameos were nice, and the armor looks amazing. Can do all kinds of themed glamours with it. The outfit should have been more parts.
There should at least be a FATE, but it would be nice if there was a faire involved.
I'll just slap the helmet on all of my glamours, even if it doesn't fit at all. There we go, so many themed glamours!
