Say you dont know what multiowning is without saying you dont know what multiowning isInstanced housing I suspect will have the same issues that Island Sanctuary suffers from. Now for the simple minded people lurking here, I'm not against instanced housing, I just doubt its effectiveness in stopping illicit house sales, and MHO. It's pretty obvious that Square isn't taking any feedback on this issue, and if I had to speculate, I'd say their answer to these problems will likely be to add more medium/large plots to future housing zones. Will it solve any problems? Probably not.
The easiest thing that Square can do, right now, is have GM's lurking around on house selling discord servers, and websites, and start demolishing, and banning left and right. Sellers get banned, Buyers get banned, house gets demolished. As far as multi home owners go, Have fun paying for all of those accounts.
it already requires multiple accounts. Yep, they pay more than you do every single month to keep what they have.

I would be in favor of reducing gold selling items from submarine by 90% is the MAIN reason why individuals want to take complete control of many FC plots
I actually took a look at said website and found multiple houses from Materia DC are listed on that website for sale.
So not only are these people making ~300-500m/week from owning 300+ submarine farms, they are also selling off in-game property for real money.
People can defend them all they like, but they are absolutely an RMT farm.
No person could even have the holding capacity for the amount of gil these farms make, especially after running for 2 years on Materia.
Its quite obvious where all that Gil goes to, Anyone defending them is most likely involved or participating in this mass RMT farm.
And yes, some people just own multiple houses, that is well known. But these are not the people the OP is referring to.
Yeah, because they totally spend all that money on those multiple accounts, definetely not for RMT at all. They need hundreds of millions of gil from those sub farms for... for.... for what exactly? If you're just farming gil, why do you need to buy up medium, and large plots which you leave undecorated and vacant? Seems very suspicious to me.
I know fully that you can own multiple homes on one account, I don't particularily care about their excuses for doing so, nor do I care about you flexing about how much they spend per month, as if thats something for them to be proud of.
It does strike me as a little odd that submarine vendor trash was left untouched considering how aggressively they were reducing/removing other sources of raw gil like Rowena turn-ins and demimateria.
How does reducing their income encourage RMT? LOL if you own a sub farm how is your income being reduced going to change anything? You already own multiple houses. Again, what are you buying with those hundreds of millions that is so important?

Its quite easy to make an average of 200k per submarine every 2 days/16 hours. I do it myself with my FC house with maxed level subs.
That is 2.4m per week (Remember not everyone is on NA, every region has their own niche prices on the marketboard).
If i had 300 houses, that 2.4m becomes over 700m per week.
Now can you accurately tell me what a person would be doing in FFXIV with 700m per week, over the course of 2 years of operation?

Who the hell even has 300 houses, I have been playing for 2 years, and I know multiowners, and I literally have never heard of someone having this many houses, if you have evidence of someone with that many houses, please provide it, but as it is you are just throwing extreme numbers to prove your point, but I have never heard of anybody having this many houses and also doing submarine houses on them, do you even know much time it would take to do submarines on that many houses ?
