Alliance raid fix?

They should have just made separate roulettes, this change doesn't do anything. CT is still boring, CT will still appear the majority of the time, and now leveling alts or new characters has an additional and potentially obstructive limitation when queuing.

Less people solely eligible for CT means less overall runs of CT versus other raids, which means less people-who-want-variety getting dragged down to fill the last few seats for yet another CT run.

Also, that "potentially obstructive limitation" is nothing more than gearing up your character when you hit a levelling milestone, which is what you should be doing anyway.

Yeah this is one of the things that concerns me and I hope we get more details. My alt on Dynamis has level 90 classes but I just did Sirensong with her in MSQ when it came out for Duty Support. So those 90 classes are stuck in the gear I have available to me right now. It was kind of a short slide but I think if they factor in the ilevel of the highest raid you have unlocked that should assure that people on Road to X servers don't get locked out of AR if they aren't caught up to the raid tier where their adventuring level is at.

If they are lv90, they can't even use their causalities/comedy just yet because MSQ progression bars their access anyway.

It still gives good poetic tomes and any daily that gives some gil is nothing to sniff at if you're a new character on a Dynamis server. Plus if the class is less than 90 it still gives XP. It's just very very easy to level on those Road to X servers.

Oh and gear for GC seals if you don't want it for glam or to actually use for a bit.

I also like to use the roulette to try and naturally fill in Wondrous Tails spaces throughout the week if I can get away with it. But also, I... just like doing Alliance Raids? If I can get a bonus for not being picky about which one, then why not?

And I'm probably queueing on a level 90 job because I like playing that job. That's why it's so overleveled. Plus, more variety in what can come up in roulette. Do people want me to queue on a low level job? Because that's how you get Crystal Tower.

Yeah exactly. I like running AR, even on my alt. I'm all 90s on my main and run AR every day. And I don't DC hop on the alt so I'm helping contribute to the queue staying populated over on Dynamis.

I also forgot the relic as someone else mentioned. One of my 90s is a DRG so for a time there I was casually gaining light on my ARR relic since the Longinus is one of my favorite DRG weapons in the game. Can't do light gains on another class. And there's only so much Aurum Vale someone can take.

Cause there is this thing called "playing the game", not everything need to be collect experience/tomes tho.

The rule change won't stop you from doing that. Just equip the lance if you get dropped in the ARR dungeon. Or save it as a second gearset you can switch to.
