Sounds like that is what they are doing yes.
Seems so. Whenever fixing this was brought up around here, a LOT of people would come out to defend their ILVL cheesing bullshit too, so I'm glad the devs fixed it and I'll have fun seeing those people in Orbonne Monastery.![]()

You will think that until you get stuck with someone of my skill level & time out of a roulette because of unending fails.
Quite honestly, if they're going to place a 'skill minimum' on playing every aspect of the game, they're going to cut into their player base. If they only want 'the BESTESTEST' skilled players, then the leveling component of the game should have that degree of skill requirement built in. It currently does not (obviously, since even I have made it to current level max).
you dont need more than 40 iq to complete an alliance raid, what the hell is this about "the bestestest skilled players" lmaoQuite honestly, if they're going to place a 'skill minimum' on playing every aspect of the game, they're going to cut into their player base. That place has the most casual toxicity I've ever witnessed. You literally get flamed for delaying the chain on Cerberus, and telling people not to early pull the second boss in LotA will rouse someone to call you a "tryhard". I've literally never seen a more toxic group of players than casuals in Crystal Tower raids, and funnily enough most of the time they are from Dynamis invading Aether![]()

Let's hope it actually improves the issue, but I'd imagine they have some data to back it up.

now they only have to make the higher raids mandatory if you wanna sign up for the roulette on a lvl 60+ job.
nice change though

This won't change anything. I am glad that it is happening because now people won't be able to blame ilvl cheese when they keep getting Crystal Tower.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

It will change something. It will mean that when someone is trying to queue for a higher raid, more people will be available to be assigned to that raid through the roulette.
Meanwhile, if people have so many reasons to be direct-queuing for CT, the game will be able to group more of them together into a single run instead of getting spread out across more groups filled up with people who would be better assigned to higher raids.
