Completion of the MSQ is not "completing all the content" in this game. Dungeon instances in the MSQ are not optional, unlike every other MMORPG I've played over the past two decades. That is the reasoning behind my comments.

I'm asking because you keep ping-ponging around from "play the story" to "reach end game", and so I'm not clear on specifically what you're referring to the MSQ gating.
I'm not arguing that the MSQ hard-gates a lot of content (it obviously and inarguably does), I'm just trying to figure out specifically which gate you're trying to compare to other games.
