Absolutely the case for me. This expansion has been a massive let down. I've been playing since ARR and was always super active until this expansion. Now I only have a sub to maintain ownership of my house. I don't play it. Every now and then I try to get inspired to do some content, work on things...it lasts for a few hours and then I don't touch it for months again.

Just to add on to it from someone with a different perspective. I am a house hunter. I have been trying to get a large house for a couple years. Getting a house I want is the only reason I play the game and lottery made it so much worse. I literally only login to put a bid down on a large and then log off for another week or two. So add that to growing dumpster fire the game is turning into.

All you had to do was go to Dynamis and you'd have gotten it on the first round, but hey, guess you just like the suffering eh ?

But then you're stuck on a data center with zero population and forced to travel to Aether anyway if you want to do any group content

For PF content this is already true of all data centers anyways.

I just kind of raidlog right now and play other games. I'll keep subbing because of my house but i do feel less attached to the game this expansion overall compared to SHB/SB/HW.
I can't really tell if it's because there's no Boszja/Eureka and such, also most my fc left now which is just kind of sad.
I still like the game but i'm just not spending that much time playing it anymore outside reclears.

You need to be able to draw a positive gaining zigzag curve..... you get a boost + some more each expansion... then it goes down, but you will end with more people as before the expansion... then it boosts up again with the new expansion.

At that point will be complaining about the queus to login, there is no pleasing you but adding negative things to forum, the game and everything.

See the good things in the game, and the game features... even if you don't like them, add possible suggestions to the parts you don't like.

Critics only work, if you tell what is good, but then mentioning the few bad things and you got to be specific to everything.

It does keep growing. This is the normal ebb and flow you see every expansion. You will see these numbers drastically skyrocket after the expansion announcement. Enjoy all the hype that is coming! I know you are excited for it!

Agreed. What determines growth is "Is it more than it was a this same point in the last expansion", and all of the data seems to say yes, meaning growth. And we do have a lot of big name games coming out that people want to take a break from FF14 to go play before coming back. "how bad FF14 is in comparison" is the absolute dumbest take possible. People always take breaks to go play other big games they've been anticipating. FF16 is only one of many. I've been looking forward to Remnant 2, and it's going to suck my gaming time for the next couple weeks.

Again, growth is happening if we're apples-to-apples, expansion-on-expansion-at-this-point higher in number than we were in the last one, and we seem to be. Therefore, the game is growing. /shrug
