"The game keeps growing guys"
Hey that's one way to solve congestion issue :3
It does keep growing. This is the normal ebb and flow you see every expansion. You will see these numbers drastically skyrocket after the expansion announcement. Enjoy all the hype that is coming! I know you are excited for it!
I mean you'll say its copium but its almost like in those 8 weeks a lot of big games came out that garnered attention.
The main cause of the drop was a significant reduction in returners. But a decrease is only really significant if it is maintained long-term and lower than at comparable periods in the previous expansion.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Isn't it alarming that 6.4-6.45, which is probably one of the most feature-rich patches in EW, with IS update, new Variant/Criterion, a new raid series, and BLU only sees a decline in returners? Seems like this is the start of a new trend which will continue as we get to the REAL content drought in 6.5. Pray, look forward to it.
I mean its apples to oranges...different genres altogether in some cases, they played other games cause it was a busy month it doesn't mean 14 is bad in comparison that's pure hyperbole on your part lol. Either way like someone else put unless this holds water long term it doesn't really imply much....if these drops concern you go forbid other games. I feel sorry for WoW players then when they were halfway in shadowlands the sky must have been falling but yet here we are.
Why do you frame this as a bad thing? With all your posts, I figured you wanted the game to fail, so you should be celebrating.
You are very much correct. They are indeed different genres, and it is well-known that the entire MMO genre is in decline. Quite sadly, FF14 is simply one of the better options in a pile of garbage.I mean its apples to oranges...different genres altogether in some cases, they played other games cause it was a busy month it doesn't mean 14 is bad in comparison that's pure hyperbole on your part lol.
