I don't think it's outlandish to ask for activates on a higher scale like Variant Savage and BLU that requires 3 fights at a MINE level to have a mount and not just a title. I completely understand that Online stores aren't going anywhere and I've made peace with it. But BLU's last two updates have only been titles and Variant Savage is STILL only materia (and a housing item) as a reward.

I really do believe that this is what upsets many people. If we could just compromise rather than fight among each other, we'd probably have a better understanding.

Yup, I think this is the crux of what's pissing people off. On a purely objective level it's just 2 cash shop mounts since 6.4 (big shb dog and 2seater bike) but it comes on the heels of learning that blu's not getting a mount and savage variant is totally unchanged despite the overwhelming feedback begging for better rewards. And then there's the price, which is like the cost of a really good steam game on sale lol. From an optics standpoint it's fucking terrible.

I bought Subnautica 1 and 2 for about $20ish total during the last Steam sale, I've already sunk 26 hours (EDIT: pretty sure this number is inflated by me going afk at times but the real number is probably still a lot) into the first game and it's been great. Assuming the second game is as good as the first, I got two amazing games for about half of the full price of the new mount. I can't see how anyone finds that price tag justifiable.

The price is not weird if you think about it. As long as people keep buying, they will keep pushing. This price say they sold more than expected of previous animated jpeg.
In our ideal world there is no need for a store...however, to be fair, it's not the worst store available on a online game. They do it because most of us allow and stimulate it. Star Citizen is a good example.

If people want better game rewards then address the FF14 devs. Nothing will come from complaining about the mog items as the 14 dev has little to do with it. This thread if seen will simply be relayed to the mog station team and nothing will change in game simple as that.

Square Enix is a publicly traded company, so there's a pretty high chance that some of the money is paid out in dividends to shareholders and investors.
