What the trials and raids that you have to beat first to get the harder stuff? Because I've never heard of nor seen difficulty options for anything else in this game.

They're talking about single player instances having easy mode options added to them if you fail. You know, the incredibly easy stuff that takes alot of effort to mess up.

Another tip is to use Aetheric Mimicry and get the Healer buff before you start the fight. White Wind costs a lot mana (1500). But with the healer buff you can use Pom Cure to heal yourself. The fight is part of the story. The fight is part of what you're paying for. Aside from that I'm just going to repeat myself from a similar thread here.
Flying Sardine, Loom, Diamondback, Exuviation, and some sort of heal like White Wind or Pom Cure. All of that and some kind of attack is pretty much all you need for anything in this. It's really not difficult at all.
If a spell can be interrupted, spit a Flying Sardine at them.
If you get some sort of dot on you, Exuviation will almost always be able to get rid of it.
If you're hit with some sort of undispellable Heavy, you stop what you're doing and look at where you need to Loom away to.
If there's literally no way to avoid an attack, Diamondback is almost certainly what's expected of you.
If your health is dipping, heal.
It costs just 200 mana and has a constant heal potency of 500.
It's nearly impossible to heal up with White Wind when the life droped down very low. I did all fights with the healer buff. :3
♥♥♥

Oh certainly, but I simply brought that up as a way to minimize the number of required spells. And for a while that was the only heal, so some of the fights are designed with it in mind as your only option.Another tip is to use Aetheric Mimicry and get the Healer buff before you start the fight. I think part of what you need to accept is that Blue Mage is a totally different game compared to other classes. You can want it to be like other classes, but the reality is that it's not. It has special rules for leveling, learning abilities, instances, level cap, PvP, and quest progression. I understand wanting it to work more similarly to other classes, but don't let that blind you to the fact that it's thoroughly distinct from every other class in the game.
And like other game content, you can't progress the story unless you do the associated content. Eden requires raids, Eureka requires Baldesion Arsenal, and the Fisher class requires catching specific quest fish. And if you want to experience the Blue Mage story, you're going to need to farm some moves and do the Carnival.
For what it's worth, I don't like farming moves and I don't enjoy the Carnival, so I haven't progressed BLU's story past 50. I've accepted that if I want to experience the story, that requires doing the Carnival. And I've decided not to do the Carnival, so I understand that I won't get the story.
Can you explain this a bit more? I didn't like the Carnival, but I don't recall it having anything that seemed like an ability concern. I'd be curious to hear about what aspects can cause trouble and how.
Regardless, an easy mode sounds fine; they do offer that for other solo instanced content so it doesn't seem like an unreasonable request.

The normal trials have 7 other players in the group. It's easy for friends to help other friends get through them as needed so they can continue MSQ.
Masked Carnival is solo. The only way to get any needed help is to account share, which is against ToS. That creates a hard roadblock.

I'm not the person you quoted but I can answer from my point of view. I'm older now... older than the typical gamer I'd imagine. My reaction speed, manual dexterity, and steadiness of my hands aren't what they were 30 years ago. I still haven't cleared all the stages of the carnival yet since my brain and hands have a hard time keeping up at times. Some of us older folk just aren't as quick as we were in our 20's & 30's. It happens to all of us eventuallyCan you explain this a bit more? I didn't like the Carnival, but I don't recall it having anything that seemed like an ability concern. How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
