As someone who has hit plat several times, I'm going to take a firm stance.
If a player cheats, then they are a cheater.

people need to be held accountable for their actions, not blame everybody else for it.

I.E
throw blame 100% at square all the time for this shit, no some of yall are also to blame for this.
but as i said earlier, a nice way to prevent cheaters from even cheating is to make it unnecessary.

If Aether is the "big community" of the NA DC, why does it have the least amount of activity? (dynamis doesn't count because of it's much lower player population) - aether's t100 and t30 floor are the lowest, which would indicate players are flocking elsewhere...

if you cheat in any fashion at the end of the day you are still a cheater no? not to mention if moderation was better at their job there would be less of a problem, people report cheaters all the time its just nothing is done about it and untill they fix their moderation issue my suggestion is a good enough stop gap so everybody can get what they want and get out without frothing at the mouth because a ranked mode is poorly moderated.

Obviously cheaters are cheaters.. if they ever cared to look into reports for PVP they probably don't take most reports seriously because people just report anyone that is better than them.
Anyways the solution isn't to make players better at reporting cheaters but to have systems in place to detect them.
All this is pointless anyway because I seriously doubt there are as many cheaters as some in this forum like to suggest.

Your suggested "stop gap" is to remove what little incentive there is to do ranked in the first place.
You don't care about ranked so you don't care about it dying so I guess its hard for you to comprehend other people might want to continue playing ranked and the player count for it is already lacking so your solution is to spit in their face so that you can have shiny things.

also there are cheaters, you just don't know what to look for and neither do the mods... also anti cheat wont do anything against win-traders which are the biggest offenders lol

Saying that a mode of difficulty that you don't like should just die off is very selfish. Just play the game mode you personally like and have a better time than worrying about a mode you don't want to interact with. You would have a much better time with the game if you didn't have to worry about a group of people that aren't affecting you in anyway at all.
