Almost nobody whined about job quests and AF, and they're accessible without being pushover bores. You don't actually understand the meaning behind anything. Farming some f**king yagudo or cabbage for a few days then standing in front of an NPC for half an hour to raise your fame does not require any serious effort and is not difficult. It's boring artificial content designed to increase your play time with minimal design and development. It's the bane of almost every MMO, and that's why almost every last MMO that's considered good has gotten rid of dumb s**t like that."Because nothing says fun like wanting to unlock Summoner as your main job, but having to do some arbitrary garbage fame turn in quest. Accessibility is far more important than FFXI nostalgia or "FFXI challenges."
That's what this says to me. he doesn't like working to get his advanced classes, he wants them to be "accessible".
There are a bunch of bored 50's because content isn't too difficult and because it's massively bland. The dungeons are all re-skins of outdoor zones with the same monsters and some boring bosses that can be cheesed with certain setups. There is no real challenge there; and it still won't exist if you arbitrarily add some random grinds before people can access the content. The need for instant gratification is all I ever read on these forums... And that need is why everyone is soooo boooored and has all level 50s.
Really? Because Yoshi has been pretty spot-on about adding content. All I see is a bunch of nostalgic petulant babies whining that FFXIV is not a direct clone of FFXI, ripe with outdated, frustrating, and boring mechanics and grinds. All of this QQing is exactly what is keeping content out of this game.

Morticous - Senior admin of.... well of nothing. (cool picture here)
Good to know you have no counter arguments or real points. Bet you still think you're right.
Nah guys, fame for no other reason than just to grind it. Because if you don't want to grind for the sake of grinding, you are QQing and you are bad and you ruin the game and etc.
No, I didn't. Putting in effort means learning mechanics and adapting to those mechanics. Putting in effort means gearing yourself accordingly. Putting in effort means coming prepared to events with food, potions, medicine, all ready to go.
Putting in "EFFORT" does not mean turning in 100000000000 millioncorn just because it "UNLOCKS" the ability for me to PUT IN EFFORT into other things.
Handouts, the silver platter, etc, other "freebies" as you claim, do not equate to accessibility. Accessibility means I can do things when I want to, when I want to, and however I want to. It doesn't mean I want a handout.
A fame system, especially the one being used in XI, is a direct contradiction to accessibility. It is a BLOCK and a HINDRANCE that is completely unnecessary and simply prevents people from completing, and most of all EXPERIENCING content.
XIV doesn't need restrictive content.
Fame was an shity Quest chain system with time sinks added for flavor. Like the star onions it was a good chain quest but you needed more fame to get to the end of the quest chain.
WOW!!! amazing how defensive yall get over a suggestion. must be hard on ur significant others lol. trollalalala
