it is, though.
besides the fact that blizz forgot the casual player base exists, the main reason why people ditch wow is because they're sick that by the time they finally get a handle on a current system for upgrades and other such mechanics, it all ends up changing the next expansion.
Ah I see. I'm still crying out for more job quests just for the sake of keeping in touch with some of the characters regardless.i'm stupid. sec wrong thread.

Ahem. Sorry, replied to wrong thread and then managed to combine both posts into a confusing mess. ANYWAY.
Job quests (which we sorta got with EW?), more beast tribe stuff, crafting (it'd make sense because they have to rebuild a castle + capital city so... y'know, why aren't we crafting for them more?) gathering (same as previous explanation), just... quests in general that make you move across more of doma instead of just to the castle gate and then back out again.
a bit more life, a bit more plants. i know it looked kinda sparse in terms of people living there because it was just recently built and they are still in that "okay now time to throw out the 500 burlap sacks that once held stone" bit of rebuilding but its been several years now and it still has that kinda... "so new that it doesn't look to yet be inhabited" vibe.

Despite some things I may have said about you in another thread. This is actually one time I genuinely agree with you. Congratulations, you won me over on this topic. What's the point of developing whole-ass systems if you're just going to abandon them and never build on it? Chocobo racing? Minion battles? Levequests? Expert recipes?
Maybe there wouldn't be a lack of content if we get iterations and innovations on existing content types instead of them trying to build a whole-ass new system every expac. Please realize that when people complain about those types of content, that doesn't mean they want it removed or for the developers to stop making such content forever. They want it improved upon. They want better iterations.
They kill off Eternal Bond since they didn't update it since HW...
Competitive Triple Triad when?
I'm curious, is there a large number of players that would participate regularly in chocobo racing if they iterated/updated them? How about minion battles? Some stuff makes sense, levequests being updated/improved would be amazing, and the old exploration zones could a 2nd look with how most of the playerbase has moved on from it, but I think it's okay for some content to remain static as it is and just be there for the few people that want to engage with that content.
Besides, it seems like most players are interested only in moving forward with new content and aren't willing to sacrifice the speed at which they receive new content if it means looking at older content.
