Also friendly reminder the FFXIV sub thread is up to vote. It seems a vast majority want it reopened.
It is really odd that some people seem to think that the Reddit must be the primary source of information, when most of its content is reposted from somewhere else that's usually just as easy to find.
Yeah, I saw that. It's so easy to sometimes get caught up with some of the trolls on these forums who are actually out of touch with what the actual casual playerbase thinks. It's kind of heartwarming to see a lot of the commenters say how much they missed having access to the information there and would rather have it stay open. These folks over here on these forums will have you spinning your head; it's no wonder why nobody wants to post here.
People enjoy looking at reddit for many different reasons. The reddit mods are being selfish to have it locked when ffxiv players just want to browse user generated content about a game they enjoy. Especially as its the user of said reddits that make it thrive not the mods themselves who don’t contribute much.
Reddit is just better publicity for posting content over most other places. Especially for content creations.
There's a reason creators rarely advertise here.
"Everyone who disagrees with me is a troll"Yeah, I saw that. It's so easy to sometimes get caught up with some of the trolls on these forums who are actually out of touch with what the actual casual playerbase thinks. It's kind of heartwarming to see a lot of the commenters say how much they missed having access to the information there and would rather have it stay open. I find this funny because they were mass kicking/banning people over their hypocritical pride month post as well. The official Discord doesn't want to hear dissent and kicked a bunch of people who don't agree with the blackout and mute you if you disagree. The blackout vote is brigaded since it's open to everyone and pro-blackout Redditors vote continue on every blackout vote against the wishes of FF14 players who use the subreddit.
I'm at a loss here and I miss being able to post on the subreddit and it seems like the blackout will just continue forever. It's a huge blow to the community for the mods to continue the blackout indefinitely even when spez doesn't care so the blackout only hurts the community without giving us anything in return. Other social media platforms just aren't really the same as Reddit.
Anyone have any idea how we can reopen the subreddit? I've been thinking of finding some people together to request to mod a private sub as it's against the Reddit rules.
Sorry if this post violates forum guidelines but there's nowhere else to talk since the subreddit mods censored everything (they banned a lot of people on the discord)
