OP's got enough posts to perhaps be Rolkien's son, but too many to be a Rolkien.
and here i thought switching to paid subscription would get rid of all the trolls...guess not
No... oh god please No... How are new players ever going to catch up to veterans in a game where having multiple classes leveled up is practically a MUST. Not to mention, we're going to get new classes/jobs with 2.0. This mechanic is perfect and very fun in a group setting...
DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!!
Alrighty, let's try another tact.
Let's say you're not a certain someone else and that you're actually being serious. Removing the party bonus won't make the game more challenging in the least, adding in certain open zones, instances, and NMs that require very different strategies will give the game more challenge. Since we have to wait until 2.0 for this stuff to be truly see the light of day, what we see is what we get (to deal with).
If you want to try creating your own personal challenge, try using different party setups and see what you can come up with for the current content. ANYTHING beats sitting out in Ul'dah doing just plain nothing![]()

im a troll for asking a legitimate question and making an honest suggestion? if you say so...
how bout instead of having the bonus for a full party, why not give the abilities to increase the stat points to a class/job and give them more utility?
If you say 10% is probably not much, then why would it suddenly "Add challenge", also how does getting materia and putting it on your gear "add challenge", that is not a challenge, it is easy.
Also due to AF system, you cant add materia to those pieces, nor can you add them to jewels, so where exactly would the Materia go?
I believe that while you're throwing out a nice suggestion, you're not ultimately thinking how it would be used and how much loopholes it has, this is likely why you get such trollish replies because you're not thinking about everything affected. You just see it as a "buff that makes things easier" and think that by removing that buff, everything will spontaneously go harder.
Not to mention that buff is helping a lot in some of the bigger fights, and very much promotes people to full party.
Hey you down to sign my petition to remove healing from the game?
Cus I figure if you can just magically woop de woop heal your wombs and move on that's not HARDCORE enough, you catch my drift?
So yeah please sign here

Do it if you're hardcore no scrubs allowed.
Does everyone here have troll paranoia or something? He's not a troll for posting an idea you don't agree with.
I like the idea of getting a bonus for being in a party, and it makes sense since you would be able to do better knowing you're with a group rather than being alone.
