A group only queue would never pop. Its why people are asking for duo or trios.

And i said i don't want that, so idk what you are on, lol. Seems like now you are the one who is kinda all over the place.
And nobody knows that for sure, it could flop yeah or maybe people actually enjoy it. Can't know if they don't try.
We had a group queue with feast. It was completely dead. PvP will always be niche in this game and splitting the playerbase even more is pointless. The pushback on allowing casuals to have duo or trios is ridiculous and ranked being purely solo is fine.

Feast was dead for vastly different reasons, mostly the horrendous wintrading scene. Or that it wasn't sustainable at all, not to mention that there weren't really many rewards people could get from feast. All of which has changed already and made PvP in XIV more popular than ever before.
And duos/trios can obliterate enemy teams easily if they aren't coordinated. If i had a ninja sidekick all the time i would win every match cause that's just how it would go, lol. No thanks, leave the solo queue alone. For both ranked and unranked.

My CC queue is regularly under 5, just to add to the idea PvP is no longer dead. Because casual pvpers totally don't exist *eye roll*. No one grouping up in casual queue is taking the matches seriously. People just want to play with their friends.
I also doubt your "I'd win every match" comment lmao. Ninja's are not this god tier ya'll love to make them out to be.

Of course casual pvpers exist, which is why solo queue should stay the way it is so the fun for them isn't ruined by a burst dps + ninja combo. Which can clear entire teams in seconds.Because casual pvpers totally don't exist *eye roll*. No one grouping up in casual queue is taking the matches seriously. And yes people want to play with friends, me too! I feel like SE should anyways introduce arena like pvp. With 2v2 or 3v3. That way smaller teams and friendgroups can also group up.
It's almost like you dont know how niche the PVP is in FFXIV, what you suggest would kill it entirely. There are not enough players for what you want.Of course casual pvpers exist, which is why solo queue should stay the way it is so the fun for them isn't ruined by a burst dps + ninja combo. Light/Chaos has had more wintrading in 4 seasons of CC than 20 seasons of Feast. And in Feast the few wintraders at least in EU got banned meanwhile the ones that did it multiple times in CC are still playing without any penalties![]()

That is true, if you read my posts you will notice that i did write exactly the same, lol. The difference between Feast and CC is that it doesn't just revolve around the ranks and that is it, there are rewards now outside of the ranked matches which ofc motivates players to do CC.
In feast people did wintrade their way to the top and then abandoned it and with that feast was dead for the rest of the season. You literally couldn't find any matches.
