For the love of Hydaelyn SE, let us group up with friends.
And if you care about "unfair" groups who coordinate and don't just run out of spawn, one by one, into their death then make it another option, like with ranked and unranked.
It blows my mind how SE can make a actually fun PVP experience and then totally ruin it by throwing random people together and calling it a day. And now we just roll a dice at the start of each match and the team with the least braindead players win, personal skill doesn't matter.
It's hilarious how easily this could be fixed, i have no clue what SE is scared of but we are now so many seasons into the new PVP and they haven't even addressed it.
Yeah, I agree with this. There should be two separate queues where people can have the option to solo queue or to queue as a team.
Being able to queue with friends would remove any balance it has.
It's the only pvp type that is balanced because you can't just go in with a bud and stomp faces.
If you wanna promote team-only, that's another case.

Seems kinda typical SE sadly. Make a fun competitive game mode that's literally built around the idea of team coordination then just... not giving any tools to meaningfully coordinate and disallow people from playing as a group.
They always self-sabotage with PvP.
They should at least give the ability to queue as a duo. That's pretty standard across competitive games with matchmaking.
Maybe I'm too old-school, but if you think having a premade is that unfair then just go find people and get your own premade going.

Which would make it balanced again or not? If everyone can sync up their limitbreaks and play well then it is by definition balanced. The problem would be the meta that comes with that and that would SE job to balance.
So yeah, i don't ask for SE ruining solo queue with that. Not at all. I am totally against groups in random CC. These should be two separate options so everyone can have their fun.
I think the biggest problem with CC atm is that there are way too many people who don't play it cause they want to or have fun with it. They play it to grind for the rewards and to then abandon it. Which gives them ofc no motivation to play well, why try when you dump the activity anyways after you get what you are after? So premade groups would be a great way to actually give the people who enjoy pvp a chance to actually enjoy it, instead of getting force grouped with people who can't be bothered cause all they want is rank 25 for that mount or glam.
People really out here acting like 1 or 2 good players can't just turn games into stomps in a 5v5 anyways :v
Put premades vs premades, inflate premades rating so they eventually end up just fighting other good premades, only allow duo groups. PvP games have been working on solutions and compromises so friends can play together without consistently stomping randos every single game for ages.
But why bother with that I suppose when SE just wants to treat PvP like a PvE mode.

I like CC, but I play an MMO to do stuff with my friends, not queue up with randoms all day. I can't really play with my friends in this mode, so I have little interest in it beyond occasionally grinding it for the series rewards when I have nothing else to do.
Put in a separate queue if that makes people feel better. Ultimately, I don't really care too much about winning or losing; I just want to play with friends.
Yeah but 5 okay players is stronger than 1 fantastic player, if they're working together. Certainly 5 good players, which is entirely possible given people of like minds would be queueing, would definitely stomp a group of mixed players without coordination.
I mean.. sure your point that one player can mean a lot .. can mean a lot, but that math doesn't change with the additional variable of increased teamwork. Therefore consistently the group will win because they've an advantage (substantial if they're skilled and using powerful communication methods, like voice chat).
All of to say my point for OP remains, not changing stances- they want a queue dedicated to preforms.. that seems fair. But if you allowed preforms with randoms, it will cause repeatable and consistent imbalances that will clearly lean towards the preform. It's not some unknown or inconsistent math, if you allowed it then it would be preforms regularly destroying those who are not.
Ranked should be team vs team and unranked should be left as is imho. As long as I can grind series rewards solo in a low-pressure environment without getting continuously curbstomped.
On the other hand, given the changes to Frontlines rewards, I'll probably never queue to CC ever again. So whatever.
Wouldn't they have to gut all the rewards for it? Pre-mades would stomp and get twice the progress, meanwhile solo players cannot communicate at all with each other.
