Totally agreed. Like 100%. We just disagree on how to send that message. If you're going to have 2 years between substantial content, it shouldn't be a monthly subscription based MMORPG - Especially if they're going to take the same development team and use our sub money to go make other games on our dollar, which we have to pay for seperately.
Do I need to go necro another 2013 post for no reason?
WoW PvP has been horrid since WoD. It's a massively unbalanced mess and haven't gotten a new battleground in years. Battlegrounds themselves are just for geared players to farm honor against players that stand no chance against them. It isn't uncommon to certain geared players being unkillable even if the entire other team dogpiled them. The difference all of you fail to realise is that WoW had more substantial mid expansion patches then FF ever has. New zones, new raids, new dungeons, new quests, more gear sets, more sylvanas simp main story quests, more crafting recipes, ect. Like, actual content to do - There was always fun end game content to grind out. The PvP in WoW is, and remains fun retail or classic despite its problems - and you can grind it out for some genuinely decent rewards. Same thing with raiding. Grind it out as much as you like until you get what you want.
Of course WoW did have gigantic gaps between some of its patches, (Looking at you WoD.) But compared to the drought of content from 6.2 to 6.4? (August - May)
Islands, Forgettable content you can do in 2-3 weeks.
Raids that can be cleared to BiS in 5-6 weeks.
Eureka which is just a blatant rip off of PoTD and HoH
Criterion dungeons with 12 endings you'll just google.
Lets not even kid ourselves, wtf is with the PvP rewards in FF? Some recolor lvl 50/60/70 sets? Crystal tower gear but black? Recolor mounts? Is this the best they can do with 9 months of time?
No battlegrounds?!?! I wonder how they ever survive with so few battlegr- Oh... Wait a second... We're actually losing one of our battlegrounds, with no replacement or changes forthcoming.WoW PvP has been horrid since WoD. WoW PvP is far from being perfect, but they have *too* much balancing to do, not only with keeping classes balanced, but also gearing/trinkets. I still find it fun however, unlike XIV. XIV PvP has a lot of potential, it's just consistently thrown in the trash with the communities feedback as they continously make nonsensical changes that don't address any of our problems, and they have no excuses for it because unlike wow they only have at most 8 abilities to balance per job, and they don't need to worry about gear imbalance.
Besides, WoW has more then just Battlegrounds. Open world pvp, Arena, Dueling, raiding major cities, battlegrounds, ect. Quick and dirty Arena matches in XIV? I'd love that, even with the crappy job balancing. I'd love for them to steal game modes, and maps from other MMO's. Gives us something to do besides bang our heads against the wall when we see patchnotes.
so don't pay for it if you don't wanna pay for it. don't pay for products or services you don't think are worth it. they are not going to lower the price or remove the subscription just because pete forumuser#15224 feels dejected about this expansion and there's nothing wrong with thatIf you're going to have 2 years between substantial content, it shouldn't be a monthly subscription based MMORPG - Especially if they're going to take the same development team and use our sub money to go make other games on our dollar, which we have to pay for seperately.
easy
Yeah, and we also got 3 maps for CC in this expansion alone.
They're right. If you don't like what the game has currently, you can unsub and come back at a much later date. No point staying if there's nothing driving you to play right now.
They could have better player retention if they spent more resources on parts that have better replayability.
Mahjong and PvP are horribly underutilized even though they are more replayable than almost any other content which is often one and done.
What, do you have some sort of loyalty towards this game?
