These forums are weird

There are some nasty pieces of work here, but after blocking them the forums can be a bit of a nicer place. Learning quickly the type of poster who isn't worth your energy (trolls, people who jump to personal insults rather than focus on points being discussed) goes a far way here given the lack of regular moderation.

Bro literally a majority of people posting in here are the same people who react to every supposed troll thread.

How much else is there other than troll threads that take up a large portion of the general forum? Who feels like opening themselves up to personal attacks for starting threads on what they enjoy about the game?

People who have something positive to say at best are viewed as having an "agenda" (um...what agenda? Not like we are shareholders) or have "tired" points. These are some of the nicer responses we get. Meanwhile the 10th topic about how terrible Endwalker is - somehow new and refreshing?

It freaking happens all the time here on the forums.
But you dont seem or feel Malicious about it, so all good.

Yeah I've done the same thing where I missed actually half of Shadowbringers and a couple patches of Stormblood. But I felt pretty good about it, and I felt great about still staying subbed while having a house and FC. I felt like I could hop back on and have no issues, nothing really wrong. Plenty to do, plenty to see.
I guess right now for me, and maybe others - Is I feel a little trapped with these predatory systems, and it really sucks that I love the housing so much but just not feeling anything else right now.

Maybe the spark will come back eventually and I won't feel so bitter. But right now, these systems just make it feel worse than it should be.

That feeling RIGHT THERE that you described, is much more Healthy then this...Trapped feeling from FOMO and Predatory Systems...but the thing is its also self-inflicted.
I always feel the "Copium" response here, but Endwalker is probly just that 1 Bad Expansion right now...or maybe just like Shadowbringers people will actually look back on it and suddenly remember things they did like about it....but in the moment I can see and feel some of the issues people talk about.
Can always be better next Expansion. They "Should" definitely see the backlash in some areas, and the praise in others and always work to further improve.
Its not as easy as many think it is to balance everything perfectly all the time and address EVERYBODIES Wishes and Concerns.

But never know until we get there.

Have you read most of the 'positive' threads? Most of the time they are bait threads lol. Like this one is very very baity - and it hooked a good amount of the same people who post negative and a good amount of people who follow around those people like protectors of the game.

Like we talk about the 10th topics about how terrible Endwalker is yet like there is a healer discussion, a megathread about hair requests, viera/hrothgar complaint megathread, the marriage megathread all on front page. All of these are valid posts and points.

Is the negative trend getting a bit out of hand? Maybe, but then again you have to decide if it is actual complaints or supposed trolling - not every thread is the same.

To be fair, if I seem more calm lately - It's probably XI digging into me. I think it's been giving me the other side of the big world Final Fantasy MMO experience I've really been craving. lol

XI is a pretty rough start, but only played a week and I got WAR 50, WHM 50, THF 50, BLU 50. I think if some people are frustrated with Endwalker, they should give it a shot.

You're posting in a forum for a game that's populated by fans of said game. Of course criticism is gonna get some pushback. It's not complicated.
