Endwalker is my least favorite expansion yet

The Twelve raids haven't really done anything for me, mostly because I have no interest in the Twelve themselves and the glamour isn't my style. Also haven't really been feeling Pandaemonium, but again, the Ancients don't do much for me either (and P3 in particular is hard for me to look at, all the oranges and reds blend together too much and it screws with my glare sensitivity). although at least "Scream" is a pretty good track. Otherwise I've found EW pretty good. Not great, certainly not flawless, but pretty good.

This is my least favorite expansion. Expansions I like the best was Heavensward the Stormblood.

It's not my favorite expansion. There are positives and negatives about it. I thought the MSQ was stellar up to Garlemald, and then it just kind of fell off of a cliff. It's a damn shame that Venat couldn't go out on a high note, but Zenos' send off was very well done, and I enjoyed it very much. The story for the 24-man raids is the best we've had since Ivalice. Barbarricia was definitely a step or two in the right direction. The NM raids are forgettable thus far, but I am biased in this regard. Outside of Emet and Elidibus, I am not the biggest fans of the ancients. While they did well with Emet in EW. Elidibus' story was completely wrapped up for me in ShB.

The new content: Variant Dungeons and Island Sanctuary are ok. I don't think they fill the gap left with no exploratory zones this expansion. I am really enjoying IS, but I just started it, so the novelty factor is still there; but I think with being able to place furnishings next patch, it will keep that going for a bit. I've enjoyed a lot of the regular dungeons this expansion, and the gear designs all around have been pretty good also. I'm very disappointed there have not been any new long hairstyles and updos released.

There's my EW review in a nutshell. It's not exceptional. It's also not a massive disappointment. Somewhere in between.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope that the next expansion will be more to you're liking. Personally speaking, EW is my second favourite expansion I think. I really loved the MSQ, the Pandemonium arc, and its added some of my favourite characters to the lore in Vanet and Zero. Sure, its not perfect. Whilst I think it did a good job ending the almost decade long story, ending it in just the expansion did make some elements feel squished and unexplored, such as the stuff in Garlemald and the events of the Sundering. The 6.x patches have so far been a mix of outstanding to mediocre, and I am waiting to see the final of the Twelve arc which... I loved at first but was dissapointed with the second act. Then again, no expansion is flawless.

Xeno lost any and all credibility with me when he threw his war tantrum back in 3 or 4.0.and then he just went off the deep end from there I think. I don't really get what people see in him these days, he's just another "angry streamer man" persona.

That's okay, everyone likes different things. SB is my favorite, EW is a close 2nd, the overrated ShB is in the middle, ARR and HW are just 'okay'.

To be fair the Negative Nancys are important since they're the ones who have the guts to point out the flaws in something. Nowadays, nothing will change unless you raise Hell about it.

He has personality. Even if it’s abrasive at times or goes crazy. That’s something severely lacking in todays world. Too many awful boring people who try to be politically correct at the expense of showing anything other than mainstream emotions because the crowds tell them to do so. You better cry at this part of the MSQ or we’ll cancel you packs roaming twitch have turned most weak willed people to nothing but puppets and echo chambers.

Anyways, that’s what I appreciate about what I’ve seen of him, but it’s still not enough for me to keep up with anyone on twitch regularly for that matter. But that’s besides the point.

When someone makes money off of streaming a game and has to abandon it because there is nothing to do that’s not an easy business decision and comes with risk. But we’ve seen a ton of FFXIV streamers have to do so because there’s nothing to do.

Streaming XIV has never been where the money is because most people interested in the game are, you know, playing it.


Also, you don't have to be abrasive and a jerk to have a personality. There's other personality types than just "angry," but all anyone here seems to care about are the angry streamers lol. Those get the most attention for some reason. Maybe they see it as some form of "alpha male" or something? IDK. I don't even watch XIV streams, other the the clips I've seen where people go crazy.


I used to watch his guides, because they were good. But again, he lost me with his unhinged rants when his favorite job wasn't the best anymore.
